Dino needs no introduction,djing since the age of 15 along with names like Carl Cox and Paul Oakenfold and producing music under various project names like Cydonia,Ayahuaska and Tortured Brain he is today considered one of the greatest and most respected persons in the trance scene.After listening his latest tunes like Anti Clockwise (co produced along with Serge 'The Antidote' Souque) and Thank You For Calling that killed the dancefloors around the world i couldnt help myself from reviewing this cd.So here it comes his new album Lick It on the Greek based Octava Records that will be released by the end of September.

Review

01)The album starts really powerful with Riddum an excellent psychedelic full on track.If you liked Thank You For Calling then you are going to love this one too.This is pure dancefloor music at its best.

02)Wow wow wow.Hoover is a superb oldschool style morning tune by the masters.I dont think that i have anything more to add here.

03)This is a nice melodic track that reminded me a lot of the musical theme from the Knight Rider series starring David Hasselhoff.Great atmosphere but nothing special,worths listening to it for sure though.

04)Old Cool Tweekers is a great track by X Dream and Dino.You can easily notice X Dream's distorted techno sounds throughout the track blended with Dino's club orientated ideas.Not exactly my style but psy tech freaks will love this one for sure.

05)Despite its funny name Ear Candy is a very serious track that will make you dance.Nice night tune with some amazing ideas in it.
By the way there seems to be an external sound on 02:45 caused by a mobile telephone signal,is this sound part of the track or maybe a mistake on the mastering?Those that have more experience on music production than i do please let me know

06)The Eyes is a great melodic and atmospheric track,a real stormer to be honest.Strong kicks,distorted guitar strings and amazing synth sounds.This is a killer hit by Dino and i would like to see trancers reactions on the dancefloor under this tune.

07)Here comes an extraordinaire morning club trance tune.Triple X is one of those ideal tracks to finish your dj set with when the sun is already up,very melodic and with happy vibes throughout the track this is a really great tune reminding me some older Platipus Records releases.One of the best tracks in this superb album and for sure on my next months top ten.Highly recommended no matter what your music style and preferences are.

08)Well Noodles is the track that i liked the least from this album.Its not a bad track but its just not my cup of tea.Its fast but difficult to dance and thats why i dont much like it.Waiting to hear other people comments on this one.

09)Finnally we have 80s Virus.You dont need to listen more than 30 seconds of this track to realise that you actually love it,fast beats and melodies will blast the dancefloor and that melody in 03:50 will drive everyone in the club absofuckinglutely crazy.He who will remind me where that retro melody featured in the track comes from (along with the vocal samples) wins a big ice cream.

Well if you read my review carefully you know what you have to do i guess.If you still havent figured that out yourself then i will try to help you a little bit more.JUST GO OUT AND BUY THIS CD AS SOON AS IT GETS RELEASED!

My favorites are 1(!),2(!!),5,6(!),7(!!!) and 9 (!!)

I really like the latest tunes from Dino and Iam absolutely shocked with Thank you for calling..

He who will remind me where that retro melody featured in the track comes from (along with the vocal samples) .

i think this melody and lyricks belongs in a Clash or Happy Mondays track
i say ''i think''
its a matter of time to remeber the exact track

Wow!!! Got this one at Samothraki just after Dino's live set, which was mesmerizing!!! My favorite release of the year so far, and will bring back many memories. Hoover is an amazing song (Peter Digital played it in his set by the way). No doubt that Dino is a Goa pioneer, GO GET IT!!!
