If you go for the event i'm suggesting you to go for the tr8 and not the tr6- if you can't wait and save some money then go for the bx8.

there's a huge different between 6" to 8" in studio monitors- you can feel it by the bass accuracy.

anyway i'm own the tr8 and i'm pretty happy for the price - i think the tr6 are too small but i didn't hear them so you need to ask someone else for opinion.

i also have m-audio sp5b- they have a nice sound so i pretty know m-audio sound which is nice but not so clear except for the mid range- the bx8 however is a nice speaker for the price.

hope it will help you make a decision,

I would go for genelec

the 1032A - more bassy
the 2029A - very close to ns-10 specifications.

also you can try Mackie Hr624 - which are less big .

buy samson 65a brother(2500 shekels)if you don't has a choice--it is a good monitor(fur sure not spekers)...all depend in your ears..
check from the ones that advice you--with all the repect to them -the opinion of them if they release something--:-]
about other monitors--if you have money and this is not the issue for you so go on the mackei or alesis..or just check in the shop with original music and check what you like...
it depend a lot in you...there are people that like more "dry" sound and ones that like more "wet" sound.i know that it sound little stupid even but a man that know his monitors can work even with regular speakers(if he know 100% reference of them)...
so think and check by your ears--not only by opinion...
all my best

i don't get the ears thing ! did someone from you realy feel differences so clear after 5 minutes listening in store ?

i'm not talking about huge difference of event to ns10 but most of monitoors u won't hear if they are same size

also about monitors it take month to undrestand how they sound ! so why u tell this stupid sentese all the time trust your ears when u buy ? coz u don't realy know what to say

ppl buy monitors by prise , what other lame ppl say and reviews by pro's !!!!

so do it all read our lame pot about all monitors , check prises and read review online about each monitor on objective site

and then buy

i can say that I no PROBLEM check this things in the shop...i am not a lier!!!I trust my ears..for sure as superglue said you need also to check in the views over---but isn't most of this view work on profit(not in money exectly:-])...TAKE A C.D(original and not this mp3)that you know really good and check some monitors man--you WILL feel difference--i know that i felt it..
there is some monitors that give you to feel like this track or c.d that you choose sound so great that you are in a live show--and some show you the true--flat monitors--than you learn them in a month(i agree in that)...but still matter of tsate!!!check the one that you ask on them and choose bitween the first to the seconds---again as i said samson is just a cheep way to your city but if no problem of money-so look in superglue replay and check the monitors that he offer you...
all my best
good luck in this journy
p.s--if you learn little sound that you understand that you can TRUST your ears..          Check out my music page - free music , new style and more :)
