Hi everyone, I am interested in exploring the possibilities of digital djing with controllers but i have never used one nor have much info about them or the djing software out there.

I installed for fun Tracktor Pro 2 but I realize that without a controller I am absolutely unable to even put tracks in tempo as I am so used to use real hardware.
Not to mention i need to listen on the headphone the track that i want to play next and I am not sure how can someone mix with the program without an external piece of hardware.
I have been wondering if it could be a nice move as I have been mixing since 97 with real gear but to be honest I could use something easier maybe to worry less about mixing and whatnot.

So, have you guys tried any of these pieces of hardware? What do you think about them?
I seen the videos on youtube about the new kontrol s2 and seems affordable and nice, but then there are people praising the VCI400 and some others yet preferring Pioneer.

Also, what is the most used DJ program? Tracktor? Ableton? Serato? Virtual DJ? which ones you prefer?

For electronic music, I like Traktor just for DJing. . . Havnt really tried Virtual DJ or Serato yet.

The Traktor Kontrol S2 is really good controller if your gonna stick to NI products.

I think traktor pro is the most used dj software out there.
Easy to handle and lots of nice features.
I use the reloop digital jockey 2 interface edition as a controller but the (windows) drivers are not very stable, but maybe the newer editions are better.
I'm lucky the thing never let me down at a gig

thanks for the feedback!
I wonder if is easy to mix with kontrol s2.
I would have to mix oldschool goa but also modern full on and progressive trance, with no looping or need for fxs.
