I'm planning on buying a digi001 soundcard since I spotted one for 300€. But after some googling I found out that digi001 doesn't work that well on xp sp2. Is this true? I'm planning on using FL studio, ableton and protools with it.
Another issue: I've read that digi001 can use it's 8 outs only in protools and that other programs can just use 2 outs. is this right?
If so I might reconsider buying that card... |

i am afraid it doesnt work well either on mac with several Steinberg and other plug ins on protools LE, i personally wouldnt go for that,i am waiting for a motu for my pc.
You should think also about your compatibility with others since its a card for a life
I dont know about the outs u say,but i cant believe it a so closed platform.. |

Digi 001 is a discontinued and forgotten product i wouldn`t by it, beside it only supports 16/44.1 of sample rate and pro tools le version 6.1 u can`t fo farther than that so...im not sure if it supports asio driver
Spend that money on something else, get a m-audio interface if u want to run pro tools. |

Well that's a bit of an issue here. i actually have a m-audio firewire A.P. and I think it sucks (doesn't work good, bad drivers, high cpu's, keeps on disconnecting etc...)
Ok, thanks. I don't think I'm going to buy the digi001 after all. |
