a cool way to do it (different sound for each note)
have melody in midi
boune 1st sound
change preset
bounce 2nd sound
replace synth
bounce 3rd
change preset
boune...
then place all audio in different channels
same timing so they all play together the same melody...
cut to 1/16 all of them (scissors with alt)
now X everything
un-X one by one
if you get it.. thats how i do it. if i got your Q.
this way you can also delay specific note , or time strech or reverse... quite cool work. www.sattelbattle.com

that's nice but i need to stay in midi coz i need a realtime tweaking
i want 2 beable in the same loop to have a melody
that each not is connected to defferent vst
and i need 2 have quick access to that vst that's
connected to a spesific not
in that way i 'll beable 2 make awesome basslines!!! |

no..it has nothing to do with automation actualy..
in cubase f.e. you can use the drum editor and then you can choose a specific note wich plays a specific vst in your vst rack..
all in one midi file..
thats the point right?
its the only sequencer wich can do this all in midi..

and what's wrong with just having separate midi channels for each vsti you want to use?
if it's a matter of being able to edit them together, then (at least) in cubase, if you highlight/select several midi channels and open them (enter or double click), they will be opened together. meaning, you will be able to see all notes as if they were part of the same midi file. there's a drop-down at the top which enables you to select active midi file (to indicate to which midi channel the new notes you add should go). or, if you click on any existing note, it'll automatically make the channel to which that note belongs active.
this, or elad's method. you sacrifice tweakability. but that enables you to move the fuck on with the track. and opens up the whole other mangling world of audio.

ok & its worth to mention imo when you want to proceed several different drums for example..
like in drum editor..you can use a snare from battery / a hihat from Zebra /Shaker from Surge whatever...so lets just point out cubae as the only sequencer right now wich is supporting this method...
there are some more cool ways...i will search and quote

in FL it is soooo easy and simple

in live :
-create synth rack
-add as many chains (= layers) in the rack.
-add several vsts in differents chains.
-assign the chain selector including crossfades to modwheel (+ I think you can map rack chains to notes in the synth rack, I'll check)
done , and everything is self contained in one rack.
+if you like, automate several parameters at a time on the different synths with the "macro" knobs.

Im with septa for cubase, and i guess most sequencers can do this today...
becktrank - yes cause you see every channel in the pattern and with ghost notes you also see every channels note...
