different presets in midi hardware?

hey guys,
just wondering if it is possible to load a different preset for different midi channels with my virus without having to change device id to corresponding midi channel, or bounce it to audio to insert another patch? Is there some way of sending midi messages to that channel to activate a preset before your sound kicks in?

Hmmm, I'm not sure if I am answering your question here, but here goes...
You have to work in multi-single mode (hold the multi button and press the single button).
Now you should be able to load different patches to every channel (or part). You use the Part button to scroll through your channels.
In you sequencer you can send midi CC's to change what patch you want to assign to each channel.
You send a "Bank Select" message and a "Program Change" message to change the patches.
