Is there a difference between Unison and Chorus, or is it the same thing? If yes, what is the difference?

Unison is all the synth voices playing the same note, so more voices = fatter sound and the chorus effect is based on a delay line, the output of which is mixed with the original dry siginal. The short delay line time is modulated periodically, resulting in pitch deviations.

In Unison aren't the notes played at a slightly different time that the other, something like the delay in chorus? And aren't the notes slightly detuned from each other, again like the pitch deviations in chorus?

The unison can be regarded as a sort of chorus. The start times of the individual notes are probably not exactly the same, but probably changes with each noteOn. Whether they are detuned or not depends on the instrument - usually the user can specify this.
In unison, all the played notes have the same volume.

In Chorus, the sounds are not detuned. What makes the effect of slight pitch-deviations is the fact that the (very short) delay-time is modulated a tiny bit around a "center-time". This is usually controllable by the user (how much, how fast, which center-time...).
With chorus, the original note is usually louder than the delayed ones.

That's my understanding of things
