Depends what you mean by making it. If making it means releaseing records that reached the #1 spots in Mixmag, DJmag and getting plays on top dance radio shows like BBC Radio 1, getting plays in the Essential mix and playing out in front of 15000 people, then I made it and I did it alone.

I'm sure you're a great producer but do you know who you remind me of when you talk?

hey 14-year-old-e-tard not to sound rude but if you´re quite a sucessufull artist, and you choose to have a "make-believe-name" to keep your identity why then post these type of coments? For that you could as well keep your artist name no?

Im not doubting your words, In fact I think I know what your nick used to be, I think you even sent me a final dissertation of yours about sound or something like that...? Am I right...?n... ? Maybe going wrong lol...

just wanted to share my opinion

Back to topic, yes off course many artists did it on they own! But one thing if for sure, a little help can make some things a lot faster to learn!

Agreed, you learn a lot by spending time making music together. Everybody develops and picks up their own very handy techniques and by working together you share them. It also helps to make choices, so you make different tracks than when you work alone. Plus, you don't get as stoned because you have to share.

No. The chartings are under my "Nectarios" alias, are under the breakbeat genre, not psy-trance. I "grew" in a different field all together. Differnt forest, different plants...etc. Nothing to do with infected fungi.

Because its more fun using this username and because I see the whole blue artist usernames (I am who you think I am and I had an artist profile too), discriminating.

I'd like to say one more thing about being a successful artist. To me success as a musician, is being able to make enough money and produce the kind of music I want and being able to make other people feel better when listening to my tunes. Success to me, is not conforming to trends. I want to have the margin to do whatever kind of tracks I want to, when I want to.
Success (in music) for me is not having to travel when all I want is to stay home, not having to remix tunes the way someone expects me to and not having the financial need of remixing tunes I do not like.
In order to make lots of money in dance music, you'd either have to be a complete musical genius (which I am certainly not) or proper whore your self and your production style to get gigs. Music is too personal to me. I tried doing a couple of trance tunes that just did not feel right to me (SPAM: check the Unison tracks on Etnica's Phase 2 CD and Harmonia Records, Butterfly Effect). It was fun spending time with an old friend of mine in the studio, but I seem to need to take music a little bit more seriously than that.

I caught that. Another tidbit: Sarcasm and humor exist in strange corners of the internet.
