Finally the wait is over, This month beta testing begins, so we will have the game avaible probably for Xmas.
Some new things:
You will be able to sell items for real world money in an action house.
New system for character levels, no more skill points.

seriously hoping the OSX version of this will work properly (been having major issues with recent mac games and my new macbook pro).

Since diablo 3 isn't a MMO i just dont give a damn about a market of virtual items. I would be happy if each 10 levels that my previous rare items no longer work for the character i can sell them for a few dollars and get me a beer.

Game got pushed till early 2012.
 But well I can enjoy RL longer

I got into the beta yesterday and I must say the new system of abilities is much more fun than the previous one. You dont have to commit to a tree, you can try them all and see what fits you best for your style.
And this is before the rune system. There will be like 6 runes of different colours and qualities that you will attach to abilitites to modify and change their effects in singular ways, some of them seems to have some kind of sinergy with passive abilities.
I have only played with the Demon Hunter so far, it will be my first char once the game is released, and I am having a good time.
They sent out a huge number of invitation so if you already have an battle net acount its possible you may got an invite to beta.
Also, this kinds of shows release date is near, probably january.

I'm quite happy with the delay. I think of it as being granted a few more months of life. I'm sure Blizzard is going to say, "yeah, Diablo 3 is way better than D2:LoD". What else can they say?
I'll play it when it's out, they may as well already take my money and stop wasting time building hype. Nothing Blizzard says will make me care more, other than "oh guys, fooled you, released today!"
