The main reason why i like this gallery system is the feedback you get, something us graphical hobbyists/artists don't get to much... also it's a good source of inspiration... I don't know why you gave up goodvin, personally i like the system they use, even though it does take some getting used to!

We are not 'digital artists' to be exact, it were just a few works...
I looked at mushaman's page and I havent seen any useful comments or critics, only emotions. If this is the feedback you need, maybe it's good. I often go to photo sharing sites of professional photographers and the level of comments there is much more, ehh, informational maybe. People learn something new from the comments of other photographers, some advises, critics there...
And at deviantarts most comments are just like 'O! Thats great' and 'Thank you for commenting my work'... And it's not only on Mushaman's page.
I think that such communities must have the aim not to be the place for showing artwork to each other, but to help people in improving their skills and embodying their ideas.

i know, there's a lot of amateurs there that simply want to attract attention to their work (like myself in some ways). I did however find that if you do the effort of giving other people proper feedback, they'll do the same.
here's one of the first messages from my journal:
"I notice it's a habbit here to say a lot of ty's and other ***** that does not have any further meaning... PLEASE, if you decide to submit your devious thought, make an effort to add some content (no offence to anyone, but i just don't see the point except for drawing attention to your galleries)"

I love you all just let the creative spirit fly.
Dont let shitty comments by people who dont have other work than to demoralize others and show their fkn ego on others bill to let you down off your ideas. Create what u like, what u really are inside, and the piece that will comeout will be a part of you as unique as u are, as we all are. I had troubles from the begining with coleques saying that im off the mainstream and i work for nothing for no final cause. But i let the energy flow since than and I FEEL GOOD. Be an artist if you really are ment to be, not for money, glory and bullshit but for yourself only.
