i think its already commercial when u r doing gigs at a club which is open for anyone to walk in ...
and this is dubai 90 percent of the people at club r tipsy ...
...it will never turn out to be like trilogy deep nights where people will want house n tech..if they wanted that they know where to go ...if the orgz are lookin to make bigger psy events where they need more than 200ppl i dont think word of mouth is enough ...
its already commercial when u r doing gigs at a club which is open for anyone to walk in ...
we can either do it big which might involve callin the whole city out and spread the vibes and ..or we can do what we r doin now keep it low like most of us r already doin ..

yaa but doin PR might not exactly work in favour, as it's not PVD we're talkin here 
i dun think org. got da money to jus promote a psy gig thru newspapers,fm..
it costs money..
which keeps us in a loop..
the only way 2 break it is to patiently build a support 4 the scene..!

@ tandava - I am all with you bro!! tht’s exactly the way it has to be.. I mean we all have come a long way and have been in constant contact with psy… like everyone
The whole point of everyone talking about NOT commercializing the scene outhere is complete misconception. This has to be commercial in a way but not at the extent of excluding the whole culture and vibes which this music brings along.
True, psy culture is considered to be underground but in a place like this, u need to bring it over ground because the major plus point(s) outhere here is that there won’t be any busts ( unless and until there some freaks who think they are kewl and do stupi’D’ things at a psy party), you would have a decent timing( yes, we can’t see sunrise anyways, but tht’s the way it is).You saying you have people who are drunk and swaying cuz they are hammered, but hey… if they don’t drink…. The clubs outhere will not give a license or permission for psy to grow cuz they need to make their moolah at the bar…at the end of the day… everyone should have blast and enjoy the whole experience in dubai.
The bottom line is everyone means business, also keeping the factor that they primamrly do it purely for the love of the music. And the aim should be that we should end up having an experience on regular basis and not jus one banging session and nothing for a long time.
It’s the perfect time to grow and the long run goal for all of us should be to trance-form dXB into the party stop over to all the psy heads all around head and spread the message of P.L.U.R in such a way that there is no place like that in dubai.
If you notice, dubai threads are possibly the only( atleast one among the only threads) on isra which has no negative vibes, all happy people, people connecting and pure energy, which is also witnessed on the dance floor. And I think that would be OUR biggest advantage forever, and hope that no one can take that away from us.
We should be thankful that in a place like dubai , a club would be giving the orgz psy a chance to grow…. Don’t abuse it… enjoy what you have….
What we all have to understand is …. Dubai is not a place where psy is popularized…. Our biggest task should be to actually pump the nation with the music and spread all it’s good sides to the masses, we not talking about getting it commercial, it’s jus about selecting the perfect and selected crowd of pure true psy heads who would keep the following growing in Dubai and other places in the middle east…
Psy is got a pretty potential following in Dubai, and I think if they all think, it won’t take much time for people to realize that psy is IT.
Once you get a house lover OR and electronic music lover to psy gig, tht would be the end of their previous likings for those people, there won’t be any turning back, that is 100% positive.
Think about your first time, how you had got infected and gradually how the love for psy evolved into a way of life. That is gonna be the exact mode in which people in dubai are gonna be educated about this whole genre of music.
Keep having your private scenes, and spread the word as much as possible, like heady said, we need to support the growing scene by all means possible.
@ heady, bro true the pockets might not be deep of orgz to do sumthin like pvd, but whd u have too understand is .. pvd’s style music has come a long way … people know about it.. They got educated. If u look backwards … it’s all a gradual process…the so-called following of dance culture bought about the entire change…. who knows…. 3 years down the line … you might have one of the biggest psy artist on print on the front page of the desert’s esteemed dailies and also they would be in color all around town.
I lotta people are actually postin on this thread from various parts which is a beautiful sign that they want the scene to grow in dubai too, keeping in mind the potential this place actually has.
All we have to do now is We shall all wait and PSY!!

i dont know if most of dxb boys know but we have already have an artist in dubai (he is the only artist in uae..pls do correct me if i am wrong ..)..and he is def an upcomin talent already released tracks on psybertribe records...and plays crazy twisted sounds...his name is GIDRA...and he is in dubai...
it would be great if u guys give him a good start....

To check out these artists i recommend visiting www.saikosounds.com. It's a CD shop that sells psy CDs and aparell. BUt the best thing about it is that the MP3/Real Preview that the provide are around 4 minutes long.
