i agree that the energy level at asad's gig was high!!..
buttt
we've only had dark so far..freatmah/kerosene club/shift
p.t. / k.t.e being exception to this..

n i got totally bummed after seeing a neuromotor party thread ( calcutta! ) n started another thread "organizers interested in dubai?"
the general response was dat it's gotta be within ourselves..without the "big names"..
house parties, small sessions..20-30 people ?

heady... r u sayin that u jus want to keep seein the same 200 people on and off at the parties... i am not sayin not to see them... what i am sayin is .. try and create an option to grow..to spread good vibes.... true we could sit and home and chill out in a small gathering of 20 to 30.... that is goood to let your buddides and people in your social circle to get to know more about the music.... but tht ends there....
do u think there are not more than the 20 or the 200 people u see everyday ... once someone actually does a banging party .. spreads the news.. does the right p.r .. no doubt there would be large turn out + keeping in mind your would be waking up all the psy heads who donot log onto isra and who party all around dubai... i have met so many people in dubai sayin man i miss goa ... goa ... goa... i miss the ******** ... whdeve tht is .. and whn i tell thm there was a psy party ... they would be like ... no way.... does it happen here... if u knw whd i mean .... as long as you don't do it in BIG way ... all the people in and around won't know... and by doing somethin like this.. u r also creating a whole new breed of D-free psy lovers... most of my buddies got hooked onto to psy from dubai itself.. and they jus love it..l.. jus imagin we try and create a semi experince outhere and whd they would think.. right now..... andf then one fine dasy . they actually happen to land up in psy paradise(s)
as of now ... they jus see pure energy happpenin at random clubs...if u knw whd i am tryin to achieve here... u try and get them the actual expericne... get the big boys which would pull all the OTHER crowd who doesn't come here.. and then later.. BALGAAN. .
most of the people do have a lot of perception problems abouut psy, the people who come , the music, the venue, etc..... i knw a lot potential psy lovers actually doesn't turn up for the gigs cause of various reasons stated above.... which according to me . it's all shit... but yea... they have their own opinion....i don;t care where it is as long as it;s the music.
once it picks up ... and people keep talkin about it... and they say .. "ok .. there is a potenital for psy in this market.".. next thing u hear ansd see, u gonna have every club in town dancing to the tunes of psy
the orgz who have done showz previoulsy have been doing shows jus keepin in mind the pure love for the music and the culture... and to actually support u need to build up the whole community... c'mon people... the orgz have been so beautiful tht way ... cause.. they might be the only orgz in the planet not makin jack shit money .. and probaly they r on a loss whn they do it....
if people like us are not goin to support them. it would jus die down... now we don;t want tht do we.....
but yea......
opinions are accpeted.... as long something worthwhile coms out of this.. cause i honestly think it's high time we alll woke up and try and did somthin like this * gie in as much support as possible.. there is alway a start for a place.. and we had started ages back.... it needs to take off as we speak..... or else... this would jus go on and on and on....

Hello People...
Since this topic has been opened, we are trying in lebanon to get some international artists...
We already have a good local scene with some Dj...
Since the rules concerning Israel are the same for both artists, maybe we will have to think to do some joint venture event...or a collaboration between the two countries!
Something like it is being done with the house Dj: friday night in Dubai and Saturday night in Lebanon...

I have no idea how are the parties in Dubai, but maybe a dj set would be smarter than a live act, given that it's still a small scene.
as for getting into the argument about how to build a scene, well there are no rules i guess, a bunch of people with a psy fever should do. there are many things to be taken into consideration though, especially the country itself and how easy it is to throw parties.

@ headyatail2000 ...bro like i said earlier it really does nt matter wut we get to hear morning or dark ...lets just dance to psy which ever artist we gonna get down here..wut ever the style ..lets just do it...
@psyborgz - i agree with u bro theres lot of potential for psy in dubai (the same way its pickin up everywhere else in the world)and i think the music has come a long way since it first started playin on the beaches of anjuna...it started with a very small number of people and now we surely have thousands of followers in every country around the world...so if we start now with the 200 odd ppl we ll have thousands as well ..who nows coz once u get into this music u get addicted..there s no return..hahahaha.!!!!
and even for people who r not totally into psy still like some of the styles of psy trance today ..and in dubai i think we have great potential..and to the orgz about time u guys tapped in on it ...
one thing i do notice at most of our parties is that there r usually most of indian expats who showup...
and i remember a party about two years back which we had at terminal (now ibo) called SPACE LAIR where we did see a lot of other nationalities who def were true psy heads..im sure there r a lot of people in dubai who like our music but r not aware of the parties bcoz they r never advertised in the news papers..i m very confident if we do get a big artist and have the right pr and ads we ll get over 500 ppl more than the usual 200 max tht we get....
and guys on more thing to orgz if u guys r doin anythin in the out doors pl hurry up coz the summers already here...

dude advertisin commercialises...it'll turn into one of those trilogy deep nights wid lotsa tipsy ppl who dont lk trance n want only house n tech....think again b4 callin the entire city out. the best way to get tru psytrance lovers is thru word of mouth...not tabloids.. |
