This is like my first thread, well hope it tends to be worthwhile for every1
(and yea-------I didn’t use the search engine b4 posting this cause I had feeling this topic wasn’t discussed b4 with the dXbitez) anyways-
To all the psy lovers in dubai( and around),
I would request u’all to please post all “YOUR” favourite artists in the psychedelic genre who you would love to see in action in the desert.
Remember: Please name Artists who could also be brought down to dXb – guess israliens can’t make it to the desert so try and be as specific as you can get and also please post in all their links / info if possible!!
THE BIGGER, THE BETTER!!
A request to the mods as well as the active players on isra, if they could also bounce off some names-info, would be really gr*8 and be very helpful
You may never know what’s gonna be in store for this place. At the end of the day, it’s WE who make it happen!!
This way, the orgz also get an idea of what the people outhere want(S) and yea…. Lets see if the delivery happens, atleast we give them an idea to make it happen!!

really appreciate the effort bro one concern though ..most internantional psy artists may have played in israel which will might be a problem in bringing them here...
any ways how about the father of psy himself??/

@ tandava....visiting israel should not be a problem on getting them on visit visa.

as far as i know if any passenger has a visa to israel in their passport they cant get entry into most of the gcc countries including uae..i may be wrong pls lemme know..
and yea looking at the fact tht the dubai psy tribe is more into dark ...KINDZADZA..would be a killer..

well... like askazi said... i don't think a visit visa would be a prob for the boys to come down.... paul taylor had come to dubai after a stint in israel to dubai(correct me if i am wrong, therpahy).. so lets jus keep the list to the non israelis ***y, y, y no isra boyz???? have to live with it....
personally ... i am a complete morning lover... but yea... i don't think dXb is dark.. it's jus like whd heady said.... i guess u need to get more morning and full on players to dXb and then see the turn out!!
@ the end of the day... this would probably help people to understand the problems of actually gettin a psy artist to dubai and also get a know how of who all can be brought to dXb to spread the world of psy....
lotta people in dXb are being infected.. they are getting to know about it.... and even for the simple fact that there were a lotta new faces @ copas the nite asad played which is a very good sign...so lets see.
and heady ... sorry for disapointin u man .. don;'t worry..... hope this thread helps in making whad u thought about into - reality ... or maybe somthing even bigger!! who knows

Keeping something outdoor in Dubai.. I suggest you open it with mornng trance.. Obviously I enjoy it better but also for a crowd like Dubai I suggest to introduce them into morning before you bring in the Dark side of it. But we obviously should have few dark artists too.

I agree that Paul Taylor came in after having played in Israel but he must have trvelled on a Paper Visa because it is true that If you have a stamp of entrance into Israel on your passport.. yes you cannot enter any gulf states. This point should be kept in mind.
Hope it works out well for all of us.
Keep up the good work and let the dubai crowd know if any help is required. We all will be glad to be a part of it

@headyatail...bro i think most of us r pretty dark here i think we see more energy at asad s gig than we ve seen at other gigs ...but i maybe wrong.i personally would like to see an intl dark psy dj come down and play a set...
but it really doesnt matter wut style as long as we in dubai can keep the psy infection goin ..coz i think in the last couple of months wer on a roll and lets keep it goin with out breakin the flow....

hey dubai psyheads, i have only been to dubai a couple of times... but as a suggestion i would add a few names to the list... these are artists that i have heard and they really have kicked my ass...
Voice of COD... i just heard them last week here in new york... just blew my mind, both of them play sick sick dj sets and their live set is jsut what you would expect... two amazing artists, and fuckin amazing music... check out their website www.voiceofcod.com for more details...
Datakult, this guy just made almost everyone on the dance floor go insane with his liveset... i thought i jumped out of my body and started dancing...  hehehe...

Looks like people are pouring the thread with names which is quite the sight.
Another thing I am noticing as this thread is gradually growing is that almost 90% of the isra users are pretty well versed on the lines of psy which is an amazing sign. Usually when a movement like this happens in place, people usually tend to get used to the fact there is something like psy and then fall in love with it, but the best part about dubai is that you already have decent following of psy lovers established in the scene.
Now all we have to do is to educate the beauty of this culture to others in and around and bang on you have a revolution happening here.
Also since dubai is in it’s infant stage, people like YOU can make one helluva a difference, but the sad part is, it’s not happenin. If it would have, then copas on last Wednesday, people couldn’t have been breathing oxygen, ideally it should have been packed but it wasn’t.
We all have to understand that there are some basic laws of the desert we have to abide by.
And then there are organizers we have to support
And lastly, how do we gain the trust of club owners in dubai
The problem they say is, psy music is associated with D’s which is not true completely and also they complain that they donot make any money at the bar
True we all love psy and want to make the community grow and things like that, but you have to look at it from all angles, at the end of the day , everyone should be happy doin it and spreading the culture– the club owners , the promoters, and US
And why I was trying to specify international artists is because it’s high time the BIGGIES came to dXb cause that would help in creating the stir. Names may not matter if u look at it initially BUT getting a big act would lead a lot of potential psy lovers onto the scene and the end result would be one BIG happy family
There r so many people in dXb who don’t know that are psy parties actually happenin in dubai. It’s just through this forum that people get to know about psy.
www.dubailook.com is also another pad where a lot of people in dubai log onto. True it’s for commercial and other reasons that people use it for, but it could be pad for us people to spread the word. If not that, promote the India page on dubailook so that all the psy users on that site could start visiting isra and then, u start creating the movement or vice vera too. The more you talk about it, the more people know about it and how serious this is.
Lots of people have been trying hard to get acts outhere, and trust me. They have tried real hard. As long as people like us doesn’t support the ones tryin to make a difference, all our dreams would end up jus being dreams
Almost all the dj’s who have played in Dubai has said there is a HUGE potential in this place for psy. Even they are waiting to see dXb banging the international scene.
As long as the scene is clean and we promote good parties and good music, I don’t think there would be a problem for psy to evolve into something so huge that, it would probably be the only culture which does not end up like a fad in the Middle East like what usually happens here to other genres.
And yea… people discussing about morning and night music out here. Personally… well it’s an opinion… most destinations around the world and especially dubai would get accustomed to morning music more than dark( atleast at the beginning). What I understand is you need to pump in the people with morning music, educate them and when they need the twisted edge in the sets then we get the dark horses. Just an opinion.
