The mysterious eastern influenced tracks on the Native State Compilations by Desert Dwellers impressed me so I checked out their first release 'DownTemple Dub: Waves' which has been out for a while...and what a very special release this is.

Desert Dwellers create sublime world dub that take the listemer to far off places...if you into Entheogenic, LSD's-East of the river Ganges style, then you owe it to yourself 2 check this out...

Can anyone comment on their new album 'Flames' which has just been released?

Ahh, Desert Dwellers. What an auditory treat. Every single member of the group is a talent in his own right. Their chill stuff has been in my top 10 for quite a while now. I can't offer a review of 'Flames' (still awaiting my copy to arrive) but I second the praise for their sound overall.

Be sure to check out their individual Websites too. Spirit shines through each one of them.

My particular favorite solo project is RaRa Avis' work ( http://www.raraavis.cc ) which is also quite chill. He's currently working on remixing some of Six Degrees' catalog.
