hehe .. Well, I'm glad you like Louis
There is not much to the setup (Roland MC-909, Nord Rack3, G4 Laptop, M-Audio FW410 interface). I wouldn't say "Not so expensive" , coz I actually think it is ...
But thanks for the feedback bro!

Mike A, i see you also have a Yamaha AN1x
are you using the software editor aswell?
If so, have you hade any luck using it the same time as you are running cubase? i get a error message, i guess the editor occupies the Asio Driver(im using Audiophile 2496).... its a shame, well if you have any ideas id be happy if you shared them
Also it would be interesting to hear how you are using it as a controller, the scen switches are nifty, basicly we have 16 controller knobs =D but how do you map them to Vsti´s in cubase? iv seen a "ControlMap" at kvr ( http://www.kvr-vst.com/howto.php?id=1 ) for controling the Pro 53 Vsti, it would be damn nice to have such "ControlMaps" for many softsynths. I have not yet explored all this functions...maybe its easy? hehe
maybe you can share some info about it, though it all says in the manual, but i like to hear it from others with other words
iv hade mine for a year but i still dont master it, been a lazy prick... hehe, so maybe ill ask you when i have some questions =P
Ciao... |

Triptocoma, pavel is right here. That's the CS1x (predecessor of CS2x btw, the AN1x has a totally different synthesis method afaik).
I don't use the knobs to control vst's usually, only the keyboard in it. I just find it that most vsti's got so many features, some not knob controllable, so using the 6 knobs on the cs1x would not be enough.
I should start using it once you mention it
But that's another thread No idea how to do it. |

Haha I wondered if anybody would notice that
That was a full live set I saw in March 2001 (holy crap thats 3 years ago!!! thats scary!!!) They were awesome....obviously!
its Ed Rush + Optical next to that, with more dnb on the other wall (Moving Fusion + Red One, Progression Sessions with LTJ Bukem/Blame/Rantoul/DRS/Conrad). Also Nitin Sawhney and Roots Manuva/Mark B and Blade
Damn.... my social life used to RULE when I was at uni
Too bad it sucks now

Hey Mike! we should find out how to map the knobs of vsti´s to the knobs of the synths.
but like you said, that calls for another thread!
something like "Midi CC mapping&HardwareControllers" ill see ya there =)
first ill do a search for other related threads..
Ciao!

i could tell you how to do it in nuendo 1.6
which is probably but not definitely the same way as in SX 1.x.
but chances are you use logic or something anyway
