Can I ask, did you find the Mackie big knob to colour your monitoring chain?

Thanks ~d2~

It's hard to say about the BigKnob, because I switched, Room, Interface, Cables at the same time I got the BigKnob... so, everything was different anyways. I've never bypassed it since then. Just accepted everything the way it was, since I was happy enough with it

The BigKnob has issues though. Some of the input connectors sometimes have dropouts. then I shake them and its good. Furthermore at low volumes the left right volumes are not equal, which I find very embarassing for mackie.

I'd say functionwise the bigknob is very good, but qualitywise not. so, its to assume, that it colors, but in my case I don't care, since I'm used to it.           Most of my music for you to download at:

Thanks for the feedback on the Mackie. Good to see some room treatment as well. I will have to take some pics when I have finished mine.

It's funny to go back to the beginning of this thread and look at everyone's gear page from 2002 on, lol.

I'm sure another 7 years from now will be even more ridiculous than that.

Anyway, here's mine, so I can come back 7 years from now and laugh at myself

Intel Core Duo laptop w/ 2 gb memory, 640 gb external hard drive, m-audio x-session, access virus ti (os 3.0) as well as various software plugins and sample banks.

I'm almost laughing along with my future self right now.
