Soulfood - the Zoom h2 isnt the best, but you can surely do some nice stuff with it...
if you want a cheap all around mic i can recommend the AKG Perception 100... I like it alot, i even got two of them

I will soon move to a new town and apartment... there is will setup my new home studio! 
so im having fun with my laptop! and its not bad at all, you can do lots of thing with just a laptop, but ofcourse i miss playing the synths and other instruments..
