I realize that you're starting a new label, but how are you guys going to pay the costs of making a compilation? In other words, which of the three following will you guys be doing:
1) the artist pays to be included on the compilation - this covers the cost of manufacturing, artwork, promotion, etc.
2) the artist does not pay anything, but does not receive any payment either. Costs will be absorbed by the label.
3) the artist will receive payment for their contribution, either in the form of royalties or a flat fee. Costs will be absorbed by the label.
Not that I'm saying it's about money, but on the other hand I am not interested in contributing to a "pay for play" compilation. Been there, done that! 
Best of luck with the label, I really hope it does well. I may send a demo once I finish my current track...

Hehe.... likewise. It goes out friday the latest. Hope you dig it. Played my first little live set this weekend at the label party and people really seemed to enjoy it. Gave me new inspiration to make some new tracks for sure. |
