A a result of the awesome success of DEMANUFACTURE on November, we decided to give a little back to the community in which the event took place.

In the area is a local school called Klien Phisantekraal Pre-primary and Primary school run by Marilize Du Toit.

The school caters for the children who come from the nearby informal settlement, but some areas have been neglected due to inadequate funding.

DEMANUFACTURE, on behalf of Beartrap & MMD made a donation to the school which will go towards restoring the playground equipment for the children.

We have also decided to continue this effort next year and part of the money made from the MMD (Mechanical Animals, 17th Jan) and the Beartrap (Creature of the Wheel 6: Open Heart Surgery), will be donated to the school to assist with the continuation of the restoration efforts.

So, when you find yourself on either dance floor, stop for moment and acknowledge that you have made an invaluable contribution to a small community of children.
