The conspiracy theories could very well be paranoid delusions, no doubt about that. I am not one to jump in that wagon just like that.
HOWEVER it is easier to just blindly discredit these theories than it is to really open your mind so you can actually consider these far out theories without the bias of all you think you know is real. Stepping out of your box is difficult, not to mention an uncomfortable thing to do if you are considering something that maybe on some level you almost rather not know. So its much easier to just run the program you already have and say, wow this is stupid, paranoid and a bunch of nonsense. And then continue playing with your nintendo or watching southpark.
But there are some facts that do not need conspiracy theories around them, such as:
-this world is controlled by a small group of corporations and organizations. We are sold the idea that the goverment works for us. But our goverments are actually corporations to serve the interests of those at the top.
-These people who decide your laws, your economic system and how things are run appear to be almost dehumanized, to the point that they can kill hundreds of thousands of people and smile at you on tv. Ofcourse we are also a little dehumanized since we have learned to accept this as normal.
-The media is owned by this elite group of people. So they control the information which means they can basically tell you whatever they fucking want and through repetition eventually you will believe their story.
-Part of what they repeat to you is that you are a free person and that it is all for the good of the people. But these are all just corporations who KNOW at the top level how to manipulate the masses. You think its your goverments, but it's a fucking corporation. Get it? Most likely even people that are near the top of this pyramid of power don't even realize that at the very top its all run from a very small elite who decide who gets elected and who the front men are which is who you think runs the show. But there seems to be a shadow goverment behind.
-All of these presidents and rich people who control the world are part of secret societies such as the skull and bones. George Bush admitted to that, just look it up, pretty much everyone there seems to be part of it. WHY? So there is afterall a secret club. I don't know what they do behind doors, however consider the type of people that are part of this club and their morals.
-But maybe we are being fucked every day of our lives by this elite. Just think about the fact that they will kill thousands of people, children and smile. I think that if these people are running the show we are surely fucked.
Look people, try to open up your eyes and then seriously think about it and come to your own conclusions. Because maybe its important and if it is then its everyones responsability to step up and turn things around to save ourselves. Look you don't need conspiracy theories to come to the conclusion that this world is being led by the wrong people.
Reality is maybe just a programmed illusion. So check your program, because it doesn't have to be negative. Lets create a new one guided more by LOVE. We can not let fools determine the destiny of this planet or what we believe.
We got to step up and first free our minds, but together it is easier. They say we are all connected to everything, so lets tune into that infinite power of love. Then nobody will ever be able to manipulate us.
Through fear we shrink and are kept in the dark. But love is the sharpest weapon, the most wise eye. And our ultimate connection to the universe. We just have to believe in ourselves and our power to create the world we want.

But What I fear is that instead of aproaching new ways of resolving this crisis goverments use old recipes and the cycle of irresponsible financial institutions will continue.

I would recommend you guys listen to some of the interviews by project camelot. They are very compelling and these guys are obviously trying to get the truth out, even if not all of the people they interview have the total truth. But there is obviously a lot going on behind the version of reality we are sold as true. And there are many whislte blowers and people that are coming out with information that will challenge our views very much. I guess the internet is allowing all this to finally come out.
A lot of it is hard to chew, certainly not what you would like to hear and the implications are hard to ignore however there are is also great opportunity because we can open to new dimensions that can help us and open doors that we did not think were possible to open or even there. You will step out of your box and things will scare you but they will also stimulate in positive ways.
I think if we all open this door together it is easier for everyone to digest, and there is hope we can do something about some of the ugly shit behind the scenes. Recover our power and regain our spirituality and freedom. There is a lot of BS being fed to us and hurting us and deciding the fate of this planet. We can't let this happen anymore.
Bottomline is we all have to accept responsability and step out of the victim mentality that keeps us like sheep without a way out of this mess. Come on shamans, visioners, trancers.. lets lift the veil.
Anyways, I recommend you listen to some of these interviews:

Nice thread, and really nice of Mark to write here- I think it is great that we can communicate about the music we like with the people who made it. Also nice to see trance artist trying to have a concept
I liked ZeRo's post. I think it is worth thinking about.
In general I don't like conspiracy theories and doomsday apocalyptic prophecies.
Yes, the world is complex, and yes, the more you open your mind (to information, feelings, impressions) and the more you observe and process, the better chance you have to see "hidden" things. Though let me promise you: there will always be hidden things.
We live in an amazing reality, and generally our life is getting better (almost none of us would survive life 100 years ago). There are many things that can change for the better, but that will not happen if we won't do. In my experience, most of conspiracy theories' fans, mainly talk, but hardly do. And if they do, it usually doesn't make things better, because they are locked within their "theory".
You wanna chang the balance of power? Do something about it.

People with power want more power, and will use the people who don't have so much power. The rich will use the poor and want them to stay poor. Weapon manufacturers want war, and medicine companies want sickness, etc. etc. This is not such a big discovery. Marx and Foucault and many others before them, in many cultures, talked about it long long time ago.
Now, you can dwell in it and talk about it and try to find new unseen connections- but why? How will it really help? Better just do something to really change it. Talk does not cook rice, as a Chinese proverb goes.
Of course it is important that people will dedicate themselves to exposing the truth, but maybe it is more important to educate people to look for it themselves. Otherwise, isn't it just propaganda?
My personal observation and development, as someone who was always a man of words, brought me to an understanding that I don't need to talk, but I need to do. To work within my community, within the society I live in, to make the world better. So I start by helping a school kid who comes from a broken home- just spending two hours a week with him. Now this is real change- small, but real. If each of us who can would do that- spend 2 hours a week helping someone who needs that help- our world will look so much better. This will really change the balance of power. Try it and you'll see how much better it feels then talking about who really runs the world and why.
Each to his own and every person walks his own road. This is just my personal observation, of course. But it comes after a lot of searching, inside and outside. And it is connected with the trance culture, as my whole life in the last 20 years is connected with it. I feel that the reason this culture didn't manage to really make a change was because it was made of too much talk and dreams and not enough actions. It was concentrated too much on the "I" and not enough on "The Other". I'm sure the effect on people's consciousness will also be felt in the long run, but I personally don't feel I have the time to wait. Awareness is important, but only if it turns into action, into creation.

totally agree, more action and less talk is what this world needs.
And the talk we need less is conspiracy theories that distract us of rational and pragmatic ideas. The worst part of this holistic, "forces behind the courtain" theories is that it rips us from responsabilities, making us feel powerless.
