Not a good deal. Go with a Lenovo if you're set on a PC. Baseline Macbook would be better than a Studio 15 if you can afford it too.

Yeah, sure. If I don't have a user, then who wrote me? |

the USB port architecture sucks on macbook and macbook pro.
they're shared with internal devices ... and one of them is v1.1 and other is v2.0.
(this can be problematic with Virus TI - since it requires a native, unshared USB port)
having these T61 at work ... can recommend them (rock solid and light weight).

I have a Dell Studio 1535 with 4g's of ram and Vista 32 bit installed on it. My computer is actually accessing all 4g's of ram as well.
I can run Cubase 4 and a Virus TI Snow without any glitches or problems with audio.
So no complaints here, I think it's a very good computer for the price.

How do you know if it's not a good deal unless you know the price?

I just bought a new laptop after 2 months of browsing, so I can probably tell you the price of any.

if there's only Vista drivers for Dell Studio 1535 (you wrote in other thread) ... i would think twice, if it's really a good deal.
would rather stick to a 64bit version of XP (if it's about allocating more RAM than XP 32bit can address)

not really... vista 32bit editions can see the 4g of ram installed but can only access 3.2 of them like usual 32bit microsoft os do!
this is just a visual fix and not an actual problem solution!

Doh! I feel lied to..
Well either way, my laptop runs fantastic, not one single problem with it running Vista. I couldn't be happier with it
