Just thinking of the sceno if we (Isra) head to the mountains together as a CAR/BIKE RALLY
Delhi--> Manali--> Leh........
I think we do have some adventurous psyheadz who will be willing to go ahead for such a thing this summer.
So let's create this experience together? Your comments please.....

i have a bullet 350 , me planning teh same trip with couple of friends
how about may will manali - leh road be open in may

My friend and I are off to the mountains sometime in May/June. We hope to be doing the entire range in a span of around two months. It'll be awesome if more psyheads could join us in the madness.

Hey Dudes
I went last year in August to manali from delhi. The route was like Delhi - Manali - Rohtang - Leh.
Trip was awesome !! Really lifetime.
But i have to come back from about 50 kms from rohtang (i.e. 110 from manali) as my bike (enfield 500) started giving me probs.
The trip is gonna be great, m there with u, lets seriously plan it out.
But to be a bit cautious, the whole ride is not a childs play, not for amateurs, really it needs carefull planning and gear arrangemets.

Good, we got many interested here......
I have been on a BIKE (Enfield 350) from Delhi-Manali-Rohtang & back....... is a serious ride but helluva fun & requires some tough lads to make it..... tough not may be those who look strongly built but the tougher ones who can handle some long travel time, patience in case the vehicle gets into some trouble, not worried about washing the face after every half an hour of ride, ready for some stress on the back...........
All about it is the readiness for all unexcpected messes & problems & not to panic in that case.......
Boom Bay headz, have a suggestion that you guys start from Mumbai if you like & join Dilli gang....... but mind u it's gonna be really tiring after a ride from Mumbai to Delhi & then up the Himalayas..........
Say more to create more...... more thoughts & definite planning has to be done as Free Soul said........

Hey Brothers,
Its so cool, so many guys lookin interested.
Lets plan this thing out, i have this much info:
Bomaby - > Delhi(1500 Km) - > Manali (520 Km) - > Rohtang - (55 Km)> Leh (310 km)
From manali to leh, it takes 2 full days by bus if climate is good, the avg. speed comes out to be 25 Km/Hr (when v dont drive at night)
Also i went 110 kms from manali, there was no Petrol pump, diesel can be arranged from army camps but petrol has to be taken with.
ok, let us first try to get as many guys as possible (12-15 will be a good group) and a club sort of. Then we will communicate within our group to plan the whole thing.
Bombay guys, it will be really painful to drive down from bombay to delhi, try to arrange a bike from delhi itself or bring ur ones by transportation.
I will take it on rent from manali itself.
There are lots of things like route planning, safety, bike checks, gear ... we will plan them out when we make a group.
Roughly i think 2 days drive from manali to leh, 3rd night HARD PARTY then 2 days to come back.
Puro as many suggetions as u can.
Lets say Booom !!

im riding down solo from poona to delhi in the first week of april - then delhi leh a little later on. Anyone interested let me know

Hehehe killer one Dogon .. wow this sounds crazyfun. Rally??  A ride
i am in from Delhi lets make it for the month of june since i already have plans of checking Pin valley next month, June will be a perfect time to be in leh although the weather can be dicey because of monsoons, we can definately arrange bikes from delhi for leh/ladakh and move towards the himalayas. And for the people who dont have bullets nothing like it.
@Free soul >> Can we get more bikes from manali , cause i think it will be more convenient for us to leave from Manali on bikes... i have no issue i can leave from Delhi too but for bombay group think about it renting a bike from manali will be a killer option.
But i wont be riding

Hey dudes,
Have a look at some pics of my last ride near rohtang.
Yes, for bombay guys it will be better if they take bile on rent from manali itself.
Taking a bike on rent in manali is no problem they charge around 300 rs. peer day without any security.
