Hi

I see that there is some kind of little delay from my Virus B. When I draw to notes whichs plays at the same time... then there is a little delay from the hardware synth.. is that normal? and what do I do to prevent it?

Thanks

in cubase, there's a shift function on the left side of the project window for every midi&audio track. With this setting you can shift the midi data and the audio of your hardware synth should fall into sync.           soundcloud.com/epsylohm

Are you thinking of the 'Constrain Delay Compensation' button? It didn't help at all

How do I solve the problem guys, please help?

There is always a delay when using hardware but it should be very small so It should be hard to hear actually. Ive experienced very long dealys because of some driver issues. Could be that, but if the delay you are talking about is tiny then its normal.
I dont know Cubase but im shure sideFXed didnt mean 'Constrain Delay Compensation'. Logic also has a shift function that moves the midi data either forward or backward. Keep looking. Oh and its not a button - you have to manually set a value. For example 32 or -30. You have to set a negative value to compensate for a delay.

PhMagic, do the following:

1) on each midi channel in the first 'tab' on the left (inspector), there are 3 sliders on the top, volume, pan, and then comes the delay setting. found it? you can change this to compensate for your delay (as sideFXed already said)

2) when recording midi, some ppl have the problem that the notes 'move to the left' some amount right then when you play & record them (looks kind of 'animated'). this can be solved by checking the checkbox:

devices > configure devices ... > direct music > 'use system timestamp'

good luck!

I have the same issue with my Virus B. All my other synths are right on, but anything with the Virus tends to be just a hair slow. All my synths use the same connection and only the Virus gets that tiny lag when recording so I suspect its just something in the Virus B that adds that touch of latency. Try the various ideas above.           New Album: Jikkenteki - Flights Of Infinity

i get this with my nord 3, i always thought it was to do with the latency of my soundcard ... only really noticable when doing tight basslines or arps
