hi,

i'm searching for a delay vst which helps me to create a special (but very often used) delay effect.
for example : i've got a wave sample with spoken words "I am here" e.g. now i just want to delay/echo the word "here" only WITHOUT cutting the sample or use a delay automation.
so the result will be : "I am here ... here ... here ..."
is there any clever vst out there with this function or do i have to use a damn (FL Studio) automation

thx for hints

What's wrong with automation?
Just put the delay volume up exactly where the word 'here'is ,use a 1/4 time.           http://soundcloud.com/euphoricapsy

sure no problem, but inserting bars/space often needs to replace/manage automations again ... again ... again
and for using lots of samples in different channels with different delay times it would be much more easier with such a delay function

In my opinion, the best way to get that effect on a precise way, is to chop/slice manually the vocal sample, and place repetions where you want them.
And add volume automation, lowering level down...

It's cool to place the repetitions on a separate channel.
And add some pan changes from left to right and stuff... delay and verb...

Automation really saves CPU.
For better later ajustments, bounce to audio.
There's no magic plugin. There's magic manual work and creativity.

i dont think effectrix is that well for this job.... i even think it´s no nice plugin, maybe state of choice.

if ur looking for glitchy stuff, do them your own.

if ur looking for weired delay stuff, just do it.

there´s no special plugin offering everything. and the thingy u asked is pretty simple. just do it like uedi mentioned. chop the sample, maybe separate on different channel, place effects where u like and there u go.

anyway, not the only way.

the point is that all of these "allinone" plugz just do the same. build a chain of effects using the same old stuff we use for years now just combining it. BUT i can do this much more efficient and the way i like with the effects i like, if i´m patient enough to go for this.

i did it with automation for now. chopping the file seems to be the perfect choice but too "advanced" for my first psy track ... too much other things to do ...

thx for the hints !!!

offcourse you all know the effectrix has its own 2x inside automations for each effect(!) without additional cpu (A/B)
and that the midi routing to the keyboard to trigger different effect loops (x12 different presets can work at the time) ?
just to make sure you dont abuse plugin reputation without learning it properly.. the old FL syndrom.
its not even less work then manual chopping only more and more control over the final result IMO. working properly not just open the plug and choose presets          www.sattelbattle.com
