Hey!
Im woundering how people are able to have different kind of delays on the same midi / audio channel.
if you listen here:
The lead at around 02:00 feels like almost every note has different delays. And then it comes one note with very very long delay that stands out from the rest.
Hope you get what I mean!
How do they do that?
When I just turn on and off the delay on that note the delay catches up the notes before that one and stops completely when i turn it off.
Do they have different channels for just that note?
Some tips on delay automatisation pls!
Thanks!

I would duplicate the track and strap that longer feedback delay, instead of automating delay parameters.
That is just one of doing it.

yea i never done that multidelay thing but i d do that way aswell...
when i have elements that i want to add some other effects only in some parts i tend to duplicate the channel and apply the fx in the duplicated track ...
for me its easier than automation...i dont know why i kind hate automation lol tho ableton live made my life easier with automations ... thanks ableton one day i ll pay for u...

that's also what i usually do.
another option is using the delays as send tracks and automating how much is sent to what track.

u can also export various delays separatly with 100% wet on delay... then play with all of them + the original raw sound
I want a spare brain.... or 2.

Fruity hosting thingy for VSTI's (fl wrapper it is called) has those arrows left and right, which allows you to move between presets with a click.
Make up bunch of your presets, insert those inside the wrapper so you can go between them with one click.Start recording your automation, and when you want to change effect to specific note, just click on the arrow in the flstudio wrapper for delay VST,before the note hits.
Or just record entire channel to audio, chop up different notes and use them, all the same, even better I think.
Apply that to DAW of your choice and all.
I find it nice mental occupation, thinking how shortening up processes,to speed up production, try it,it is fun .
From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)

a nice way is to use a delay with spectrum or frequency delay if the sound is not constant or has small variation in pitch.
