Have you got any tips on using delay with bass?
For example is it better to use something like ohmboyz to increase the frequency of the delayed bass, or is it better to leave it as it is? Or any tips on stereo panning of the delay? Or any other tips.

better not to use delay , maybe stereo imager or reverb will be good.
delay messes all up , dont think delay is good for bass

There must be some way to make it work. A lot of artists use it, like cosma, oforia, logic bomb, and many others. My biggest problem is that I am trying to pan the delay left and right but it is sounding more like a reverb than a delay when other sounds come on top. By itself it sounds ok. I am using a single note between the kick and the left delay plays two notes and the right one.

i crazy on delay...
you can use it on bass..
in the final mix you will hear it...just use it wise..not too much-just a little of it,but as te_nte wrote you can allways use reverb as a "type" of delay, but it will not get the same effect
about paning the delay-so it depand--can make your mix "crush"...also that matter of know how to do it           Check out my music page - free music , new style and more :)

Just take out all the bass up to about 300Hz on the delay and you'll be fine, with care.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

Do you use any delay on your bass, as some times it sounds like people do and some don't and it sounds tighter?
The preset in Alien303 MorningPsy has delay, so wondering if its what makes a certain style of Psy.           www.wizanda.com www.soundcloud.com/wizanda

I've used delay on bass some times...
I use Bionic delay and set the low cut so that it only works the hi frequencies...

I love delay on bass... I love delay on many things, hehe
like Colin say, you have to cut alot of lowend... But i dont think Logic bomb cuts alot of lowend, hehe

kukan-dub-lagan/ItaiTaiko - you can also use delay as a type of reverb... with short delay times..

cutting low, or even lowmid freqs on the delayed signal is essential.

you can also duplicate the bass channel and use the new channel as a seperate sound (with low, lowmid cut of course) and play notes that can even overlap kicks. can add a lot of groove.           extreme

I also use bionic on my bass for a lot of tracks. You can set the frequencies on it so that it doesn't muddy up the low end, and when it comes to a part of the song where it's just kick and bass, i think it sounds great.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

I like using a delay on a Progressive galloping bassline.
But I thought it was not 'allowed' to do so.

'not allowed' isn't an excuse in psytrance. there are no rules. just what sounds good.           www.musicproductionnatural.com || www.facebook.com/djamoeba | facebook page

derango does this on some tracks, I'm pretty sure. fun to mess with the stereo fx of the delay and keep the frequencies below 300 seperate and mono...
