Generally I've heard this isn't necessary on a Mac, but there is some option somewhere - can't remember what it's called.. something like 'rebuild user data' which does something similar, sorry, can't remember exact option. I don't use Macs very often.

Anyway, simplest solution - copy all the files you want to defrag (samples, project files, things you want to run quickly - system files tend not to move about so don't need to be defraged really) to another hard drive, trash all the files on the original disk you just moved, then copy them back. They will be neatly put back into the new available free space.

You could run disk utilities but i dont think its necessary            Nocturnal Wizardz Recs

Cubasing is like Freebasing, just with audio.
Both cost more than you can afford, and leaves you sitting in a dark room with no life, craving for more.
