How would you define music that you view as spiritual, what is the difference in how it sounds and feels compared to "ordinary" music according to you ?
Where do you think the line goes that seperate what we can call ordinary music and spiritual music ?

Simple, it will make my mood change if it is spiritual music, it won't change a thing and it's just music if the music i hear it's just for dancing/not dancing.
This is quite a stupid answer but it's the true. All that psychedelic ambient stuff you hear you can only call spiritual (in a way) if that music really connects with your mind, and therefor changes your state of mind.

yup. only defined by the feeling. i feel i am quite a spiritual person, but is only because of _feelings_ i have, and I would be forgetting Plato to think my perceptions are the absolute truth..
quite simply i wouldn't define it. but you can tell from my expression and the way my body moves to the track when i feel close to god. |

I agree: music that makes transmits to you some kind of feeling.
"The dedication to repetition — the search for nirvana in a single held tone or an endlessly cycling rhythm — is one of electronic music's noblest gestures." |

If you ask me there is nothing called spirituality , if I think so then i feel that many things from my beautiful scenery fades , being ONE is a different experiences , holding onto such is another and "it" holding "me/you/them" is bliss .......... and any such music making me live up to my roots is what one may call spiritual to say , like it!! any music any genre from ant to the elephant all spiritual to say but must be able to tickle the psy bone ....
To focus sometimes you need to spin hard on your soul's axis..... just don't ask how and what it means ;) |
