I've only recently started making psytrance and everything i make tends to have a traditional/full on psy feel. It's not intentional but my basslines are always quite heavy and the leads creepy and digital.

I'm hoping to adopt a warmer, softer more natural sound. Has anyone got any tips for makings morning psy?

Some example influences are Vibrasphere, Silicon Sound, Jaia, Mindwave and Time In Motion.

Cheers!           GoneWest

listened to your track that pops up in the video;
snare is terrible (at 5 mins) correct: totally off sync
some morning psy is there at 5 mins or so,
its almost as if a new track starts
but your psy audience left before cauz of the way too trancy sounds towards min 4.
the bass sound is not bad at all, maybe some more note changes, its a lot one note bass,

Thanks, yeah that was the first tune i finished i need to work on my mix but also like you said i want the whole song to flow with the same morning feel. For bass i use Alien303 which is good for a heavy psy sound but i haven't managed to make anything a bit more chilled. I've played around with sidechaining but haven't had great results yet.           GoneWest

Finished a tune this weekend. I'm not happy with the mastering in fact the end bit sounds terrible on normal speakers (sounded a lot better on my monitors). But i hope you can tell it's a bit more ambient than my others. Still need to chill out that bassline if anyone's got any tips!?!?
