alright, so we've established that we're a culture, and as a culture we have a strong brand (not always a positive one at that). But I can't help to think about the defining moments in this short but sweet history that is psytrance...

so please do enlighten me and share with everyone what are, for you, these moments that have altered the course of psytrance.....

(sorry if this topic has been covered before and thanx for input)

Ok, im a lil confused by what u asking, but lets see if im right on target.

Lots of things have altered the course of psytrance as we know it today. There are positive ones and negative too.
Positive would be like the emergence of large gatherings. Big festivals which are a lot of fun and a unique experience. Now theres always a downside to that aspect too. Big gatherings can also NOT be a great experience.

two, I think that altho the music and the idea behind it was conceived in Goa, its better that it did not stay rooted in that area. It got carried and introduced to different cultures and countries..etc.

the Israeli connection is also a double edged sword. For sho, they are a defining factor in the music we hear today, but at the same time there's a waning in the understanding of the spirit behind the music. Im not pointing fingers at the Israeli's , coz as i said, there still is a strong understanding amongst a certain crowd.

The Germans have taken Psytrance into another dimension too. I wont elaborate. Everyone has heard of a great German project one way or the other. And now the Danish and Scandinavians are a force too.

AND NOW...My current favs..THE South Africans!
What amazin shit these guys are comin up with! WOW!!

Ok..thats it..If i was Waayy off target ignore the above.
Bom!
