Defective CD's (i hope this one actually works)

I recently purchased the Twisted Rec. re-release of "Doof - Let's Turn On". I was super excited to get it because i havent heard it in such a long time and i knew that quality of twisted mastering and all will be superb.
i found out that in both tracks:
1. Lets turn on
3. Youth of the Galaxy
there is a noticeable static noise that is in no way a scratch or anything like that, it sounds like a problem with the recording of the track itself.
is there such a thing as a defective cd? do they actually reach the market? could my specific cd be "bad"? is that that reason enough to ask for an exchange?
or maybe its like that in every "Doof - Let's Turn On" cd out on the market.

...i worked on this sector ( thin film coating...putting ( ...evaporating ) the aluminium on the polycarbonate ) n it s impossible to have a noise. it s fine or bad.

I had this re-release, it was 100% ok, except the music which wasn't my taste at all.

Hello!
I have the re-release and I have the same problems you described - at the end of Let's turn on and in the beggining of Youth of the galaxy  So it's probably badly printed release. I think Twisted found out about this and other prints were fixed, or maybe Pavel didn't listened close enough since it wasn't his taste
We should really demand a replacement, because I love doof but never really listen to this CD, partially because I hate those noises.

if there isn t a newer remaster of this album, there is no chance to have it fixt. manufacturing-wise no (such) errors possible. -so take doof - it s about time....
