a few things what came to mind.
1. is there a multiband-pan plugin, so that i can just pan the upper freq´s?
2. what do you think about widening the bass with a multiband stereo-imager (just spread the mids/highs)?
3. what do you think about widening the kick with a multiband stereo-imager (just spread the mids/highs)?
4. i try to make a "mobile" bassline atm, wich sweeps from note to note and got much changes in it.
i did it perfect with vanguard with the glide function, but the sound sucks.
i wasnt able to do it with zebra2 because its glide functions sucks, but the sound is ok. wich vst you recommend?
and, would you use a multiband compressor for such complex basslines, to keep the bass stable?
here is an example @ 1:22
5. my velocity function in cubaseSX3 dont work with most vst´s, its a pain in the ass to arrange the bassline without velocities... sure, i can automate the volume... but its not that precise...
should i use a sampler- wich?

ever tried to link velocity to volume inside the synth? used sx3 for quite some time and never had a problem with velocity.
sylenth1, albino3, zebra... velocity is a mod-source and you can use it not only for volume. so there has to be a mod matrix where you can set it up to meet your desire soundcloud.com/epsylohm

for the stereo bassline i would try layering and experiment with middle/side processing, maybe muting or lowering the volume of the middle on the stereo layer ,check ozone for a multiband imager , or you can do your own multiband panner with routing in the daw.

I know you can make that bass in Trilogy. If you have it, you should try it out. If you're looking to stereofy, you could have two instances of trilogy. One instance with the saw with a low pass filter that's open pretty wide, to get that sawwwww sound. And the other with a highpass filter over it just to keep the highs that you want. There's also a phase setting on trilogy that will allow you to give you that wider stereo effect. And the velocity setting on it works too.
You don't necessarily have to use Trilogy to do this obviously, but this sounds like something I have heard when messing around with trilogy. And the more I listen to this song, the more I think it is Trilogy.

It makes sense to pan the bass frequencys above 300hz..not below..
Below ca. 300hz = mono
above ca. 300hz =Stereo
use either Nugen stereoplace for panning certain frequencys or just send the channel to a return an highpass that return, then place in in stereo field and and mix together with the bass..
widening the kick is not good imo..but just trie it..i prefer having it mono..
i have no problems with zebra and its glide function, works like expected..maybe you did something wrong..

You can use Izotope Ozone to widen just a band... it is great for that.

If you are using Logic's stereo spread lets you select which band of frequencies you wanna spread and by how much.
I don't use it to be honest, I just layer a stereo synth and keep it somewhat low in the mix so that it just gives the stereo feel.
Strange you can't get velocity to work. Its a basic function that every (soft) synth I've tried, has it covered.

to make this glide effect with bassline play with the decay at the filter envelope, or maybe even automate the decay.
to make a stero bassline you can make bassline from 2 voices and detune pretty high till you hear what you want.

The thing is, you want that phasing effect on the mids/highs only. The bottom end needs to be well solid, which case by detuning, you go into Juno A "hoover" territory, which is great, especially in legato and notes with varying/long note length...just that no one uses it for trance tunes http://soundcloud.com/martianarts

i know how to mono/stereo certain freqs, i dont want to widen those freqs (because i know how to do it -> izotope), i want to automate from left to right at some parts of the bassline(just the mid/high freqs!).
the zebra thing... i know how to edit the glide funktion, the problem is, as soon it hit the second note (glide activates) i hear that it hits this note (little click ...), but it should be a liquid change.
ok, trilogy is an option for the bass, thanks.

How did you do this glide bass effect? What is the speed glide must be? If not difficult to show a screenshot placement bass notes
