OK if it's deep trance you want check out Automatic records, Cyber records, Fire Rec. (Cass's label), Choo-Choo (although this can tend to be more club-trancey) Surround Sounds (new deep sublabel from TIP) some of the Hooj choons stuff, Plastica and Plastic Fantastic, Undercurrent, and loads and loads of more, you just have to listen to it. Deep trance was the latest hype in the UK last summer so there were loads of labels releaseng this stuff. Personally I'd love to hear a good, not too cheesy Deep trance set in the late, late morning of an outdoor party from 1100-1400. slow, melodic with buildups, just the thing to recuperate from a good night+full Morning sets.
Oh yeah, on the abyss, the first CD (by DJ dede) is Deep trance the second (By DJ Micha) with the amphasis stuff is Minimal psychedelic. and morganroth does techno and not deep trance.

thanks kinetic,
i get confused every now and then between deep trance and groovey techno. Taking the soul pitcher stuff as an example, I mean its deepish especially it aint over till the fat lady sings, but still has a technoidic edge to it.
Something like insect sun and spririallanz on the other hand, is pure tech trance:)

Basicly I don't like those defenitions. BUT the ones that set the standarts of the definitions are the british press, (mixmag and the likes) and to them we are a small offshoot of trance called Psy or Goa trance TechTrance to them is the stuff that Layo and Bushwacka and Timo mass do. and soulpitcher (Which is what is in my CD now) is on the boundary between deep trance and psy trance the vinyl's B sides (not on firewire) are more psyish.

i agree, ppl here tend to slag off psy/oa... im not too keen on defintions either, but i tend to
distinguish psytrance from more euro-y stuff, because i want people to recognise that im not oin to euro trance (i dont like it at all). prblem is, most people either havent heard of the music i like, or seem to be under the impression that the psychedelic movement died out a couple of years ago... and b4 u put us british down, among my kru here, mixmag, ministry, dj magazine, etc. dont matter one bit adn noone pays any attention to them. but a lot of people do.
