Polyester its not full on=higher prices and non full =lower prices,its more commercial and therefore more expensive artists=higher prices and less commercial and therefore less expensive artists=lower prices.
The difference between booking Astrix and other less commercial artists is huge.Just to give you an idea i will say to you that Astrix costs more than Neelix,Nasa and my good friends Peter Digital and Perfect Stranger cost all together.
Also its absolutely normal for events with just local guests and artists to cost much lower than events that feature international artists.
Same with events taking place in big and well known clubs and events taking place in much smaller places.
Each party has its own expenses and costs and it has nothing to do with full on or progressive music or whatever being played there,i mean if someone books Son Kite he will found out that its very expensive so the entrance fee has to be higher than the usual.
I dont even talk about free parties because these take place in areas that dont need any rent at all and the artists playing there do so for free and the only expense is a soundsystem and some posters maybe that get covered from the income from the bars.You give me a place to host parties for free and safe and i bring you Astrix and Juno Reactor and Hallucinogen and whoever you like for 10 euros.
Like i said each event is a different production.
As about bigger quantity meaning less quality well that its not true at all,a party gathering a lot of people doesnt mean that its not a good quality party,quiet the opposite i would say.
Concerning New Years Eve well wait to see the line ups and the prices and then you can complain about it,you might be suprised you knows.

i dont see anything thing diffrent about the quality of parties or price list aspecaily in athens 4 years now max u get is 30 euro with top names
new promoters is a good thing to try but to think positive,and about new year i dont think the price has ever past 35 here with 2-3 huge names so why so much worring

Big - Small - High - Low - Quantity - Quality , doesent really matter,having a good time these days is what really counts.

no, it's not free, as the organizers pay a lot for plane tickets, plus extra sound system.
So, entrance is not announced yet, but will be something between 15 or (top) 20e drink included

There is no profit in organising psy trance parties,this is a fact,one party goes good two parties go bad and the story goes on.

And so far we have reached the number of 24 (one of which was cancelled) events in one single month!!! This must be the most 'orgasmic' trancy month this country has ever witnessed…sure we are heading for the record!! What can I say, keep it coming people

man, you are the best representator of the 'promoter's view' and I always fancy reading your posts because I get to learn so many spicy details of the 'trance business' which is definitely your field.
I understand that you are mostly being realistic and technocratic but…do you ever think that there might be a slight chance of that 'business' narrowing your mind a bit or making it hard to keep equal distances from a subject and express your opinion simply as a listener/party goer? No offence in this ok?, maybe I could explain further sometime in pm.
In any case, I thought of making the December calendar as an opportunity to trigger some peaceful discussions and arguments. It just seemed to me that with this big number of events in one single month, one can draw several conclusions on various things: music, prices, artists, promoters etc.
No offending towards different musical styles or teams or whatever. No complaining and no degrading of anyone’s efforts to throw an event. Thumbs up to any good intended criticizing. And my comments were put there not to start complaining, but just to see if the usual debates of the forum could still be supported now that we have the map of December and a good variety of choice.
Of course, since the list of events seems to grow with new announcements, and we still haven’t heard about NYE, I will just back electrojoseph’s wish for a psy December and may we all have a good time partying at home or wherever we chose, with the music we love and with the people we care for.
