I'll share with you the prayer on Full-on's death.

Hehehe well it all depends. If you hate full-on that much you can already pretend it to be dead. After all, there's plenty of other music to be enjoyed (also out of this scene)           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

I don't hate full-on, but i hate what it became. I hate the fact that the genre that had such a great premise became a sack of cliches. Thanx to the big Israeli labels that preached de-personalization of the music they release and thanx to the small Israeli labels that preached Shchunization (sorry, donno how to call it in English) of the music. Suddenly if you're a friend of Itzik from Beer Sheva and his uncle has a label, you can join the ride.
And of course the bastard son of full-on, the infamous dark psy which wanted to give the alternative but just pitched everything up, minus cheesy samples and vocals.
There are exceptions of course.

Respect to be respected.

There's still producers doing goa trance.

There is movement without life too. Just very, very little.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Well I am listening to loads of electro and tech house that have lots of music trance influenced. Actually to label the genre house I think it does not make it justice.

And to related to the topic. I heard this track "No Rules". SImple acid track with an incredible goa flavor, but @ the same time it has a techno/electro groove to it.

I feel electro and tech will slowly evolve into a goa trance style of music, with different community, traditions, etc. It is already happening. As the term melodic trance has been used again.

Goa is not dead, but it´s metamorphosing itself into something without a face yet. IMHO, full-on is bending a little towards goa - you see more and more tracks with a touch of melody, perhaps to make the tracks a little different in the ocean of generic full-on tracks out there. Perhaps the future of goa is the tech-trance scene, which is good and positive. What is really dead is that good thing that we had in the parties in the past. That was associated with Goa trance, and unfortunetely no other genre can bring it back.

Peace and Love.

You are right Goa-Ganges... I say we lived the past, we celebrated what we had, but it is time to remain in the present and redefine. I really do not know what will come out of all this music and cultural collisions, and I think that is key, expect the unexpected. There is one thing for sure, I do not want to relive or be stuck in a timeframe, but live the now and here.

Goa Trance is alive... i guess... well, i'm not sure... i see dead people, do i see dead music??

i guess it's a pity Goa is not produced today as it was some 7 or 8 years ago... and almost no full on or psy nowadays as the influence of goa... just a few...

These guys know whats up! ---->

I get my Goa fix everyday, as long as the music exists, it'll be played. Who knows, in 5-10 years we might even have a retro movement!

Would also love to hear some of the older classics by Prana,Psygone,AP and the likes reproduced or remastered.

Sandman's Witchcraft remastered release was a brilliant move... wish others would follow suit.

goa metamorphosed into other genres...and there are almost no artists today that play pure goa..
although there are some new artists like filteria, radical distortion,ka-sol (sunstrip records) and some more who try to to revive the old school spirit...with better production and todays sound and play so called neo-goa...some people say it's not what it used to be,i personally find it preety cool.

Nothing?!?!?! It is not Goa of course, it is music from a different time, place and circunstances. If you do not see the similarities... I do not know what to tell you, because I lived the time from 86 to 2006 and I played music for 17 years and the fact that I can play Eternal Basement on Harthouse and this music together has a strong correlation.
