appologies for the weird subject
In cubase i like to bounce my midi parts to audio, re-import them and then go nuts with the scissor tool and start mangling up all the chunks of audio.
my only problem is that i sometimes get little pops and clicks where the sliced parts abruptly start/stop.
is there a way to have them fade out at the last/first zero crossings...some sort of interpolation? i seem to vaguely recall this being a possibility, i dont want to get in there with a magnifying glass and do it by hand, it would take all day.
any advice appreciated
have a nice day

there's an option under file->preferences, I think under Audio or maybe Edit to "Snap to Zero Crossing".
It'll move your cuts to the nearest zero crossing. Be warned, however, that if you start cutting and duplicating you will introduce drift by those little nudges.
The alternative solution is to select all your bits of audio at once, then nudge the first bit's left volume fader over a bit (and thus all the bits' volume faders, since they're all selected). Then do the same for the right-most one. This usually polishes off any clips and pops. |

Auto fade settings can be set up seperately for each audio track or for the whole project at once. I think it allows you to set the number of ms fade in and fade out automatically applied to audio clips.
Try the crossfade settings button at the top of
the inspector... |
