Never heard of any one using it for Psy trance, but if its hardware you can bet its got a kick ass sound!!

i was not their when they mixed the track but they said they were all very surprised about the sound,seems like a nice secret weapon |

it s discontinued but they made a new one,not sure if it sound as good as the old one http://www.dbxpro.com/120A/120A.php
you can get the old one on ebay or in some forums were they sell used gear ,for the price it cost i m thinking to get one. |

If this is the case, why not use a second or third oscillator in you synth, detuned an octave to achieve the same sound ? If you want more definition i would try the Aphex Aural Exciter with Big Bottom: http://www.aphex.com/204.htm

the focusrite compounder (compressor) has a nice bass expand function. it gives a really fat bottom
