You really have no idea what you are talking about.
Other than that, I use Logic Pro.
All DAWs are really good nowdays, the good thing about Logic is the native plug ins are very good sounding and are also very versatile offering a big range of synths and effects. The reverb and delay is also very good.
Peace out.

im not talking about opened vsts (which position gets not saved, and you have to reopen them after loading a project).
im talking about the browser (left) and the bottom lined, horizontal plug in window...
i only want arangement at my left screen...
i also want my analyzer vsts opened automatically at the right position when i open a project.
such a dragable window would do the job. inserts, sends, pan etc. (eq section not needed)

I dont understand under what facts you can say this? If its you personal thoughts or if some friend has told you this. Eather way, its wrong and as everyone knows its really up to the person behind the knobs how good it will sound when ur done mixing it yourself, so its really up to each and everyones own skills how good the music will sound, not the damn daw. (if we are talking about them 5-6 most used ones here) Perhaps many years ago, but thats not relevant today right.
cheers!

While I definitely agree that Ableton could use some sprucing up in regards to some things, I'm not so sure that I would even want my browser or plugin window on my secondary if I could, considering there are shortcuts to open/close them (CTRL+ALT+B and BTRL+ALT+L)
Oh, and the positions of your VST windows and whatnot *do* get saved between projects, however ableton does not open them up by default when loading the new project. I just opened up my Sylenth window, moved it to my laptop screen, saved my project and loaded it again. Sylenth didn't show up, but once I hit the 'show window' button it went back to where I had put it.
I've used DAWS like Reaper which has fantastic modular placement ability in terms of its windows - but honestly that lead to overcomplexity and jumblednes a lot of the time, and I went back to ableton's locked down format....though that could be due more to my familiarity with ableton and less to do with how awesome multi screen compatibility is. If you want to make an apple pie from scratch...you must first invent the universe
