the split album Baphomet Engine and Datakult "Psytrance is Dead!" is on it's way for mastering now. It's been a long time, about 1 year now, that this split project started. The result was worth the wait: really heavy duty music for hard psychedellic addict! The tracklist was finalize with Datakult and Baphomet Engine and we really put all our guts and soul into this project. More info on final release date soon...

Well, it's kind of explain in the text on the website. Have you read the text well? Fighting the system means refusing anything you believe is NOT right... from formatting to fit a certain taste or trend to pple telling you what's wrong or right... As you can see, it's quite a large and yet personnal subject and it's not all about the music itself but about yourself.
"fighting against the system to free your mind through true psychedelic sounds....I hardely see how the message could be clearer?
We believe psychedelic is not only a style or genre but it is a real way of life with an attitude, it's own rules and a deep meaning to anyone that truely believes in it...
We have our set taste and we keep on believing in psychedelic music as a lifestyle, a state of mind and a daily reality.

Please take a moment to read this interesting story and then decide for yourself. One year after announcing it, we finished the split album "Psytrance is Dead!" featuring Datakult and Baphomet Engine. All shops had all information about the new release...
in fact, some online shop already announced it long before release (i-e: http://www.beatspace.com, http://www.saikosounds.com...) not mentionning our own website
as well as our distributor website: http://www.wirikuta.at
Monday 16th of October our distributor informs me that Psyshop.com will not take "Psytrance is Dead!" because they find the title aggressive....Fine, we do not really care, if they don't like the title, don't buy it. Who gives a shit about psyshop's opinion and taste?
Tuesday 17th of October: our distributor calls back and tells us that finally they will take the title after all... Fine again, people have the right to change opinions...
Wednesday 18th: Datakult calls me and tell me check Psyshop.com... I go and what do I see: Psyshop changed the title to Nabitrance is dead! So, I email our distributor to ask psyshop to IMMEDIATELY remove all nabi cd from their catalog and do not deliver psyshop ever again! Nabitrance is 100% dead for psyshop.com, for sure!
I believe this is totally stupid and immature...Psyshop are fuckers with NO respects, for the artist, for their clients and for psychedelic music in general. They are obviously trying to format the market to their needs and make it a big commercial shit just like their shop...
We never needed them, we don't need them today and we will never need them: ... these assholes are just here to make a bad profit with no respect what-so-ever for nobody!
Having Psyshop, first refusing it, arguing about the title and then finally deciding to take it and change the title (not mentioning they cannot spell artists names right too...Datakult, with a K, you dam morons!). Is truly total non respect to all the people in the psychedelic scene, from artists, to labels to the listeners: Who is Psyshop to tell you/me what is right or wrong, what is good or bad? They think they are big and powerfull to the point they can decide and rule people taste...
So, If you believe we are right, join us and spread this message around...on all forums, on consumers website, on your website...EVERYWHERE YOU CAN POST IT=DO IT!!!! Just right click the banner above, save it as...and put it where you want! Link the banner to this page!!!!
We believe there is much much better shop than psyshit.com (oops, I made a mistake. or did I not?),
With cheaper prices, much more choice and truly better service
And a true RESPECT for the music, artist and labels they decide to sale.
If you believe in Psytrance has being based on creativity, freedom, respect
And open mind consciousness, then you must act!

Well I don't want to go around pass shit about shops. People have to decide for themselves. But for me psyshop is dead long time ago anyways. Wirikuta bring good service
Hopefully the album will arrive in a day or two, can't wait to hear this stuff |
