alright.

your bass lacks power.

but your sounds are awesome. i love the squelches. very effective use of delay.

the hihats could use some more processing and the open highats need, imo, WAY more punch. but, that being said, they patterns you've arranged them into are perfect for the tune. i might have kept the offbeat ones slightly in the background at 3:30 during that whole breakdown, but that's personal opinion.

also, i would throw a more searing lead somewhere in there. your sound design is rocking, but it's build like a prog tune. it's personal taste, but in my opinion, when there is an atmosphere built like that, it's just SCREAMING for a ripping sawtooth lead of some kind. used tastefully, of course - this is forest music.

did i mention this rocks ? if that wasn't clear, i'm losing my ability to articulate english. that clear lead that comes in at 4:15 or so is just wicked perfect.

please, more. this is inspiring, and i don't even make forest psy (i'm into psybreaks/psystep these days) so that is killer.

Wow... thanks for your kind words :o

Maybe I am bit too scared to boost high and low frequencies. Sometimes when they are too loud they ruin the whole track. Another reason for lack of punch may be my use of enchancers when listening (post EQ/processing). But yeah I agree 100% that there should be more in bass and drums. I'll master this again.

I think saw lead sounds maybe too raw and im not sure how it would fit in. Could you give me an example?

Thanks again for the response.

Hello. Here is a mastered version. Boosted some sub bass frequencies and made the bass phatter. Also tweaked the hihats a bit

hope you like it           http://soundcloud.com/mansikka

The point wasn't exactly to make darkpsy but something foresty. And have to say that im not quite the best at mastering out there...

Soundcloud fk'd up bass quality. Does it always do that?           http://soundcloud.com/mansikka

Cool track and you got the forest feeling...
But like Cardinals Cartel say you need to mix it a little better, the hard part Imo

Especially fix the hihats, bring them down in volume.
Bass often get messed up with Myspace and soundcloud, only some real good mp3 compression in 192 - 320kbps, but also good EQ to start with, some cutting is necessary.

Wav is always best and even a dirty track will sound good there and terrible on mp3 compression.. But with good mixing(involving EQ and Compression) it will be better for sure.

I like it.

I do agree that a lot of the stuff on the top end seems buried into the mix.           http://soundcloud.com/user4800749

Okay, here's final version. Im no longer working on this project, time to move on
Sorry for bumping all the time, and thanks for all the comments and tips. I appreciate your feedback.

Once again soundcloud ruins the quality. Is there any place I could upload the file without compression?
