Darkpsy events do exist around the UK, just not in London except for the once to twice a year events such as Lysergic Enigma, various other parts of England and Wales support the sound much better. It's a shame London is mostly so closed minded, but hopefully that'll change some day.

The UK scene is growing, seems to be mainly younger folk, but there are some of us old fogeys who are heavily into this stuff. The Lysergic Enigma party on the 19th September will be a good place to meet

sorry if the comments offended, was speaking from personal experiences/observations. been in london for almost a year and a half now and in that time i've found the reception from london promoters who've shown an interest in my own sets to say 'good mixing, but too dark/twisted/etc..', yet in other parts of the UK i've found people who seem to more readily embrace/up for the more twisted psychedelic night time sounds.
ive personally witnessed the positive power on the dancefloor such tunes can have, which is why i find it a disappointment not to see more of it in the place i'm living, london, but as witnessed when Mr Lotus and I recently travelled to BooM, it was heartily embraced there!

I just meant dark / twisted psychedelic trance is embraced at BooM Festival, an event with >50,000 people this year, making it the largest psytrance festival in europe to date (AFAIK), and the way the dancefloor remained full for most of those sets showing that it is something many would get into given the chance.

you wrong not 50 000 people to much for the place and the conditions 35 000 im working on the gates of boom festival this year ehehe but i understand you last boom alot of dark music this year not so much but i can hear everything boom!

Ahhh...so YOU are why it took 24hrs to get in??
And yeah based on what Fungus(Triplag) and Emmanhuel(Nabi) told me of the previous BooM and how it definitely had more dark, but for me what it did have is still way more than many events i've been to.
