complaining about bpms is NOT a production tip
quit yer squawking!!!!
here's my tip: resample. everything. constantly.
also, if you're on ableton, the "beats" mode of warping can make ANYTHING rhythmic instantly. very useful in darkpsy

True night psy in my opinion has to be unsettling, you have ot get into listener's head and push the buttons to drag them well out of their comfort zone. Sometimes it can be achieved with pure power and blind aggression, but that quickly wears out and listeners desensitizes to it. If you really want to be good, you must find psychological levers. Get deep into their mind by exploring your own, confronting your own fears and going deep inside yourself. Just compare cheesy gory Hollywwod horror movies that scare noone and such psychological classics like Silence Of The Lamb and The Shining.
Of course this genre exists, of course it is dark. True night psy deals with subjects that are feared and avoided by us, but we come to confront them on the dancefloor at in the deepest nocturnal hours. Some artist do it well, some are not as good as others, and some channel spirits from other dimensions deep inside our souls.

there is corrective equing but for dark production you just have to do the oposite or use bad source and dont even bother with a eq, sound strange but if it sound clean it won t sound much underground, it have to sound like crap or you will make some dark full on |

Man .. High Speed is one thing and Dark Style is other never put those two things in the same place or level , Realy wrong thinking that way , Its true that 70 % of the Dark creators are using high bpm and call it 'DARK' But man this is not an real dark .. Thank you very much!!! This is also what I say. This fast fucked up "Dark" Music has nothing to do with real Dark Music. For me, Dark is Music wich is creepy, eerie, frightening, spooky and not 150bpm+

Ah I see what ur saying now.
I posted it cause it's not like the other stuff that tries to be insanely dark and horrific that's made at that speed. It's dark and fast, but not "horror psy" style.
