I wanna be an original artist.
How silly it is to believe i can start by ignoring all other artists before me.
First you study DaVinci then you copy The Last Dinner, then you paint your own wicked stuff. |

Man .. High Speed is one thing and Dark Style is other never put those two things in the same place or level , Realy wrong thinking that way , Its true that 70 % of the Dark creators are using high bpm and call it 'DARK' But man this is not an real dark .. This is music for kids pyjama partys , I call it 'Toy dark' . When you work on 150 you never can get the real deepness , There is no enough air between the bass kik so all sound realy bad compare an lower bpm there u can hear whats going on , Also the feeling its change (You will see) You can feel more in (In the dark world) when the bass kik is firm and stable and not runnig/flying here and there . This is wrong thinking that way and realy make injustice for this beautiful style . Imo the classic bpm for real dark music is 142 Bpm , Now if you an real artist you will know what to do with/in . Here the way to go ..

i've heard some decent bass at high bmp, but usually only with proper sidechain on ,,
and some terrible bass at this high speed.
depends on the design. its easier to get good bass with low bmp. wrong to say you can not get real deepness with high bmp. imo

that might be overly harsh but I agree that the attitude that higher bpm = auto-darker is fucking things up considerably. higher and higher bpm + glitchier and more broken up kick/bass combos seem to be all the rage...

dark is not about squelches.
dark is not about shit samples from 'the ring'.
dark is about atmosphere.
