And now for my review:

DARK NEBULA - Sacred Scars

Truth in Flesh - Starts the disk off with a spoken word sample and moving into a galloping bassline and mean punchy kick - instantly reminding the listeners as to whom they are listening to. The quirky synth lines start filtering thru not long after and its once that starts that the journey begins. Its fantastic to see that Richie has joined with another powerhouse figure of the Nnsw scene (FootE) for this track, and its up there as one of the best tracks on the disk - which is a big call due to the disk been fantastic. As the track progresses it starts taking on a more hectic atmosphere - putting the listener into a prime spot for the remaining 8 tracks.

Mr Incredible - One of the more uptemp'od tracks on the disk. Starting of with a beautiful use of one of those Jarring yet so comfortable synth lines, it takes the listener to a place not comfortable, but definitely not uncomfortable either. Perfect for the nite time Trance enthusiast. As the track progresses, it seems to me as though it takes the listener deeper into the rabbit hole, as the track fills with "Nebula" noises, never letting him forget that he is listening to a world class producer, doing what he does best - Stomping nite trance.

No More Technology - At the moment, is a fave track of mine. With the spoken sample been "cosmic enough" to fulfill all hippies fantasies in Sci fi, to me, it set a precedent to be smashed by some piss-taking samples and ripping synth lines. It doesn't disappoint in the slightest, if anything - it goes way above expectations and puts me into a toe tapping frenzy, that only the Bundy Bear can compete with.
An absolute smasher of a track - that i get the feeling is going to be flogged on the dance floors around the country - if not the world.

Forces of Chaos - starting off with a star-wars-esq orchestral introduction, the ripping rears its head, and starts the track on good footing as it starts its twisting/morphine melody lines into something that at first appears sinister to the listener, but as the track progresses it becomes more familiar and friendly - that by the end of the track - i was willing to call it a friend and buy it a beer at the local. An unbelievable track that by the mid mark, had become oh soo hectic in the "nebula" sound that although full on, it was still excellently dance floor friendly for those moonless midnight boogies. this track i found was truly enhanced if listened to in the dark - with only the sound around for miles.

Space is Big - starts off on a more funkier note then the previously last few tracks - but don't be fooled into thinking ya now listening to some generic 4x4 morning track - this is a kicker of a track, a little less hectic to start with, and maybe a little less full then others, but it doesn't take long for the Nord/Virus (or whatever he uses) to get warmed up, and the phat lines to be cracking forth. To me this is a brilliant twilight tracks - that seemingly takes some pressure of the aching trance brain, yet still achieves that stomping ripping cracking bass lines and accompanying melody.

Track Six - with a track name like that, it can only mean one of two things - Luna has ran out of names for tracks - or he's taking the piss, and it seems as though it might possibly be neither Wink , starting off with some Celtic singing, and then a nasty nasty (yet so fucking yummy) light-sabre style interruption, it kicks in like only a blow to the genitalia can do. Fucking full on with a fast paced bass kick combo - that Mundine (an aussie boxer for those not in the know) would find hard to keep up with. This track is awkward and heavenly at the same time, beautiful and ugly, sweet and sour - and all the other cliches i can think off. Defiantly one to experience for yourself. Some wonderful use of creaking noises and consistent high end nite melody induced dancers excitement. I too wish the Dj would play track Six.

Bad Name - Trying to please the Oh so Cosmic hippies again, the track starts with a sci fi spoken word sample, which is the perfect intro for the soon to phase in Ripping synth lines. Im not going to give the beauty of this track away - but lets say that ones the familiar melody an voice begins in this track - it had the damn song in my head for days - THANKS RICHIE. One of the best Rmx's ive ever heard - and once again ,can tell that its going to be flogged to the dance floors for a while - which is just fine by me and to be honest ,looking forward to.

Parallel Universe - starting off with an Dark Nebula of old bass line, this gives the impression that Luna is going to revert to his older styling's for this track, it soon becomes apparent that he does, but with a twist. This is also what a believe to be a Twilight track, perfect for the dance floor when the sun isn't up yet - but basic figures and shapes become visible, An ultra Trancy (there ya go - i said it, Trancey dance) track , from the master - that leads the listener into reconfirming that Dark Nebula is not just a nite time act, but an all rounder prefect.
Some wicked slower lead synth melodies, and some samples which i just can't pin point where they are from - any hints anyone (if ya got this far in the review).

Stop Them - Man i used to love the original to this track form Miraculix, so i was a little apprehensive with the crossing of styles between Dark Nebula and Miraculix. But fear less i should have, as this is fucking awesum. took me a while to see any hints from the original - but ones the more recognizable sounds come thru - it dawns on me that this is how rmx's should be done - Dark Nebula has shown the Original so much damn respect, that not only has he bettered the original - but has pretty much made the track his (does that make sense?). Once again, i do believe its more of a twilight track, which would make for an awesum dance floor experience for everyone within ear shot.

Whoops - seems that even though i don't review that many disks i get - when i do - i seem to ramble on a touch - Sorry everyone.

all in all - i give this disk a 9 out of 10.

Great work Dark Nebula

i listened to samples from psyshop, and i agree with addictive elements, think he's becoming dark again... which is good actually, much better than full-on..

Although Luna has changed his style from pure Dark to Full On this album is very-very good!

Thank God it has nothing to do with all these cheesy full on tracks out there. It's dark, aggressive, spacey and melodic!

Great cd for sure!
