Sorry, I wasn't trying to argue here. I was trying to communicate my feelings on a statement made in regards to "moshing" at events.
There definitely is offensive music. For instance I was at a warehouse party two weeks ago, granted this was a metal show. This one band played at 12:30, at the peak attendance of the show, and all they did was create feedback into a microphone while pushing the pa system into the red. Two people on stage a guy and a girl. Sonically flipping off the audience. I consider this offensive musical expression.
So this is an online community, we can discuss concepts and express sentiments to a large group of people across expansive distances in hopes of better understanding this "thing" we love.

Also I think alot of people just don't understand that there really are reasons why some artists have weird names, even for their trax. Like right now I'm listening to this track Satanic Mutant - Fucking Berserker 37 Dicks. Does that mean this guy has a satanic alter with 37 dicks on it???? no its cause he uses samples from the movie clerks. Also mez that show you saw the other night, you sure it was metal and not noise?? You said there was alot of feedback. Did it sound like the sound from a fax machine the whole time with mad static??

wow this topics gone somewhere else... well id like to share my story in short about the darker side of psychedelic trance.... i always loved the 4/4 beat from young.. started off with house commercial trance etc.. one day i bought an mp3 cd from a shop in bangalore,india.. and liked the full on psy on it.. i never really got dark psy... i listend to full on and proggy for a couple of months.. and then i took a vacation to goa,india... and after listening to arjuna's(Parvati records) set (on hoffman 2000 edition and california sunshine) my preferance changed totally... i love dark psy now... thats my number one style of dark... cause it does wonders to peoples mind.. in goa you go through a dark set and than in the morning you realize what a beautiful place you are in.. it leaves you speechless... so for me DARK PSYCHEDELIC TRANCE IS VERY POWERFUL and i RESPECT it..and id love to see more dark psychedelic trance artist come the USA..cant wait for naked tourist in NYC..
and im a very peaceful person... if i listen to dark psy doesn't mean that i have turned into a violent or dark person... id take the horror out of this topic name.. like unwashed tomato said.. its psytrance... *BOOM*SHANKAR* |

The reason I put horror in the title is cause I really like the trax with samples from horror movies of like people getting killed and girls screaming NOOOOOO HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If its done right its super trippy. Two examples would be Necropsycho - Fuck Brains and Magma Ohm vs. Succubus - Shades Of The Night. |

as far as i know naked tourist(Parvati records) is in the USA playing at parties already... he is comin to NYC next month..11 of april i think.. he's playing in cali today or somehwere near toaday... i absolutely love parvati records artists..after arjuna played in goa, india last 4 months..

A different way to say it :

Maybe, most people are just Burned out by the Belief Systems that their Country subscribes with and when subjective project names are read, it hits home on a subconscious level.. Who the Hell knows..
At least the Kanibal Holokaust isn't at your front door asking you to flip a quarter like in the movie "No Country for Old Men" or are they?
