I'm sorry but if a name bothers you to the point that you can't judge the artistry of their tracks than I worry about you and your own psychological vulnerability more than artistic messages.
Oh and on the topic of metal. In some places there are metal communities, in other places there aren't, in some places the mosh pits are places of catharsis and beautiful ecstatic release through "aggression" in other places they are brainless violence. Just as some dance music scenes are more than parties and others aren't.
Frankly if I hear content that is disturbing or dark to me I feel that that is an internal conflict not an external one, and one that I should deal with immediately, discomfort shouldn't be hidden from art, art that challenges and offends shouldn't be completely outcast, frankly I would love more art which pushes peoples buttons, challenges their perceptions, takes them as far down head trips into lightness and darkness as to allow a deeper understanding of the self. If you have a problem with content then there is always happy hardcore. |

But challenging conventions and being offensive are different things. I mean I think that's the different between a Gaspar Noe film and a violent and disturbing pornographic film.

I've already said my opinion, on 15 different versions of this thread. And so has everyone else here.
Do we have to do this... again? And will we have to do it again next month? Has anyone had any major revelations that will clear the discursive terrain since the last time we all had major revelations that absolutely positively had to be shouted from the rooftops?

Well if you actually read my orriginal post, I asked to see who LIKES this style of music. Not who DOES NOT like this style. I sick of everyones negativity. I know people hate this stuff that why I'm tryin to se who likes it. I didn't ask for peoples negative opinions. You just feel you have to put them here for what ever reason. And if you don't like that I"m bringing up this topic yet again then don't fucken read it. Why does everyone have to bitch and complain????
