There's definitely bass that's darker than other bass, it's hard to describe. It almost sounds "flatter". It's not like every darkpsy track uses different bass tho, you can definitely make a darkpsy track with standard fullon bass.
I find pitching it down, turning down the resonance, and possibly lowering the LP cutoff makes it sound a bit darker. |

there should be no resonace anyways, all in the filter envelopes and mod matrix
