Dark chill

so does anyone know of any artists that produce dark chill? I've been booked to play a chill set and was asked to play dark chill, but I know of no one who produces this. I found VA - Spacedivers, but thats all I've found so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

Not quite sure what qualifies as "Dark Chill". If someone came up to me and asked me to play some, I'd probably pull out some Lustmord, Arecibo,Scorn, Coil, V/A - Interiors, or some of the Darkdrone stuff. Yes. I am a child of the 90's 
Not sure how far off base I am, but I hope at least one of those suggestions help. I'll check out Spacedivers to get a better idea of your focus and post back.  |

Hello again,
Disregard my previous suggestions. Based on Spacedivers I think Robert Salchak's Blink Twice project might fit quite well with your needs. Specifically "Other Locations", "Newer Unknown Breeds", or "The Holistic Approach". |

Hey Damon,
Thanks for the tip with Nanda. Just listened to the samples of the EP on Addictech, sounds great!
Also saw the Clipping Paths compilation which looks pretty good too.
Feel free to drop a few more names with a similar sound.

Will do (I'm just not sure if most chillers here are open enough to hear dark/psy/dubstep as I call it  .
Nanda's track on "Clipping Paths" is imho the only great track on this compilation
ANyway here are few more:
The Itch Incident - The Soother (on Chillicious comp. from Waveform Rec)
Various - Cinematic Dubstep Vol. 1 (on DubKraft)
Various - Street Science II (on Shift Rec)
Basically if you are willing to spend few hours listening to samples on Addictech you'll find shitload of great music

Thanks Damon, I will check those other releases.
I've been meaning to explore aadictech a bit more, maybe I should expedite that intention.. ;-)
To psilopsyben:
If you're looking for stuff along the lines of Spacedivers (which I haven't heard either but just had a look at the discogs page), maybe some of the Ajana Records releases. They're chill, but some of the tracks would fit the "dark" description perhaps.
Electrypnose - Subliminal Melancholies comes to mind, and is an excellent album to boot!

such,such a beautiful compilation,very powerful...Hmmm I was listening to it quite a lot and I did not found it dark at all.
Why do you classify it as dark ambient?
