Dear friends,

A revolution in music distribution has arrived, a revolution in giving the artist back the power away from the greedy and often selfish Record Companies.
Dangerisland.com
please if I could ask anyone who thinks that enabling the artist reach their fans and distribute their music themselves is a good idea, then to check out this site
editorial about dangerisland.com:
Cyberspace is the better mousetrap, it's just that some traditionalists only see the rat. Living in a post-Napster world, there is a deep misunderstanding on the bennies behind online music. Because of the various file-sharing networks, MP3 trading has become an incendiary topic. Is it right or is it piracy? With an estimated 35 billion music files changing hands this year, why harp on the technicalities? My opinion would only make this issue even more divisive so let's pitch a tent over some common ground here. Getting heard is good. Both sides can agree to that. Finding a way to monetize that airplay would be fair to the artist and the industry? Both sides can probably agree to that too. Isn't that where the Internet comes in? To close the deal?

If someone stumbles across your music, regardless of how that came to be, and that person seeks out your online presence to find out a little more about you, it's up to you to capitalize on that opportunity. Is your site easy to navigate and sticky enough to lure them deeper and hungry to come back for more? Do you have marketable goods that complement the established listening experience? Is your fan club worth signing up for, even if the visitor started out being only mildly interested in what you had to offer?
I would apreciate any and all feedback,
peace!
