I can totaly relate with what youre saying!
I just love it when you dance with your eyes closed, you just focus on the music, on the parts you wont hear if youll stay with your eyes open, if you know what I mean =)
But it all depends on the party and some other factors! Lets say that some theres some realy sick decoration, I guess I rather let the decoration relat with the trance first, then I would probably close my eyes!

I agree,
You all seem to think that i only mean at parties, i mean in general  ...
I stopped going to parties in Copenhagen at least a year ago.
I only attend festivals that i choose carefully, like sonica, it was a blast, lots of great psychedelic music, espcially at the chill-stage... I love going crazy on the chill-out floor, you have more space and you can start dancing with the people around you, like a "tribal" gathering.
I always go crazy when i hear either ott, shpongle, Shulman or Entheogenic for instance.
Their is still a lot of artists that play with you're mind, i go crazy everytime i hear anything from Twisted rec, no matter where it's being played.
However i dance alot by myself, just with my headphones on. So i feel like dancing alot, because i play a lot of really níce psy music, no matter what the genere or what year it was released in and i have enough of what i define as great psy-music to enjoy myself with, for a long, long-time.
I'm anyway part of the psychedelic scene and not the psy-trance scene (which includes the psytrance scene (for me)). For me personally the psychedelic scene is very much alive, although we all miss Terence R.I.P (which we all know that he does)...

i know wot u sayin i feel dis evetime i m very deep in meditation (sumthin lie neo in matrix  ) have'nt felt it while dancing but if i m meditating n someone or sumthing moves all of a sudden a shiver jus runs through my spine n i can feel da change of vibrations around me.

Hehe. this topic has been going thru my head since quite a while now. Didnt know if i should've penned it down here. Damn i'm always scared of twisting my ankle while im dancing away cos im always losing my balance! But yeah when my eyes are closed I just cant stop smiling, i guess thats when u make the connection with whats playing! Very nice feeling indeed.

at a party
i got to see to listen, to believe and to feel that surge .. i like to engage myself by seeing everybody and sending good vibes ..dance is active meditation
i can never dance with my eyes closed ..
in general while chilling at home i would shut my eyes while listening to sum chillout

I cant keep my eyes open even if I want too. After hours and hours of dancing I just dissolve into the aether, occasionally remembering to open my eyes so as not to crash into other people/art installations, but then my eyes close again and I am far, far away....
Dancing with closed eyes is the best!
